Sources and such
[edit]Please stop restoring the redlink to Michael Kasha. Only individuals that have corresponding Wikipedia articles and who are sourced within the article itself should be included in the infobox.-- Ponyobons mots 20:34, 30 November 2022 (UTC)
- Ponyo, Reza Islampour was one of his students, so could you please tell me why his name should not be there? I have seen redlink for others too. Aminbkh (talk) 20:36, 30 November 2022 (UTC)

- It has been explained to you; if the individual does not have a corresponding article, and the notability of the student is not supported by reliably sourced article content, they should not appear in the infobox. Wikipedia has over 6.5 million articles, just because a redlink appears contrary to our guidelines in some articles, we don't disregard said guidelines in all articles.-- Ponyobons mots 21:01, 30 November 2022 (UTC)
- Ponyo is correct. The infobox is only supposed to include notable persons who have a Wikipedia page already. Some pages may include redlinked names, but those are mistakes that should be corrected.
- If you think that Islampour is notable, I suggest that you make a new page about Islampour and his (notable) accomplishments, and submit it for approval. If it is approved, then the mention and link could be restored.
- In general, please don't edit war. Edit warring is going to get you banned from editing Wikipedia. In general, if you disagree with another editor's changes, create a new section on the article talk page so that it can be discussed. Qflib, aka KeeYou Flib (talk) 00:27, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks Aminbkh (talk) 03:05, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.-- Ponyobons mots 20:35, 30 November 2022 (UTC)
