Nomination of Herbalism and biotechnology for deletion
[edit]A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Herbalism and biotechnology is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Herbalism and biotechnology until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. signed, Rosguill talk 04:11, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
Feedback
[edit]Hi @Amberzshen: I see that your page is nominated for deletion. One issue is that it duplicates an existing topic, herbalism. If you have interest in contributing to this topic, you may find it easier to add to the existing page, which avoids creating what's known as a content fork. Another issue is that you appear to draw your own conclusions. Sentences such as
"The power of herbalism has shown itself to be very promising, but perhaps in conjunction with new developments in biotechnology, it can be used to its full potential."
indicate to me that you are engaging in original research. Absolutely everything in Wikipedia needs to come from a reliable source. Adding conjecture and opinion is not allowed.
Another issues is the lack of citations in general. Everything in Wikipedia needs to come from a reliable source, and everything also needs to be cited. There are large chunks of content that I see that totally lack citations, which is a red flag for an article. I hope this advice helps you with editing in the future.
