I think that your writing could follow much more of a structured pattern when it comes to the actual content (think of it as telling the summary of a story, including only the most important details that will make sure a scientific audience will want to know more). Update of hallmark since 2013 feedback: You are going in the right direction, but it would be wonderful if you expanded on every one of your points. Don't focus too much on what was written in the Hallmark review, and really expand on everything that you found in your annotated bibliography. Here are some ideas:
