Not happy
[edit]Hoping to provide an outlet for my frustrations and update the Euro 2012 article to document England's loss, I was thwarted by your prompt work which denied my anticipated catharsis. On a serious note, thank you for the good work! Ankh.Morpork 21:33, 24 June 2012 (UTC)

[edit]A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Big Brother 14 Houseguests.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. -happy5214 01:02, 6 August 2012 (UTC)
I removed all of your additions to the "Future Legs" section on the article because it's way too early and half of it was not even properly sourced. There's nothing saying that they're doing the Fierljeppen Roadblock as the Switchback in any of the sources you dredged up to cite, and we simply don't need to give any specifics even if the official website spoiled some aspects.—Ryulong (琉竜) 15:00, 23 November 2012 (UTC)
Re: SNL
[edit]Hey, AmazingRaceClub. Just wanted to ask what exactly is so confusing about the Episode list template? It's used all over Wikipedia at every TV season page, whether you're looking at Homeland (season 1) or Lost (season 4) or The Simpsons (season 20). It's a little different from what was at the SNL page previously, but using the template should be easy and serves multiple purposes. One major one is it transcludes to the main List of SNL episodes page. Meaning, instead of editing two tables -- one on the season page and one on the LOE page -- both can be edited at the same time in one place. It also provides a consistent appearance on Wikipedia, as opposed to having multiple idiosyncratic formats. -- Wikipedical (talk) 23:19, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
- Firstly, the Episode list template is currently used on all seasons of SNL at List of Saturday Night Live episodes. Take a look. All I have done and will be doing is merging the episode descriptions into the lists. I think the distinctions you are making (like 'notes' and 'descriptions') are slim, and to be honest, most of the current descriptions/notes is trivial at best and could perhaps be deleted. The bottom line is I don't think it makes any sense to have to update two tables to change information on Wikipedia. I plan on merging the other seasons this week. But it would be great if you could tell me what is "confusing" about the Episode list template as opposed to merely objecting to change. Thanks. -- Wikipedical (talk) 00:13, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
Moonshiners TV series
[edit]Hello. I notice that you have made a substantial number of edits to the Moonshiners (TV series) article recently. Can you please discuss the rationale for these edits in the NPOV section of the article's Talk page? To me, some of this material appears to lack objectivity and possibly contain copyright violations. —BarrelProof (talk) 04:22, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
For a aviation accident or incident to be included there, it must have an article. Above the edit box in big red letters it reads- STOP! PLEASE DO NOT ADD ITEMS TO THIS LIST THAT DO NOT HAVE A LINKED DEDICATED WIKIPEDIA ARTICLE. THEY WILL BE REVERTED....William 23:31, 25 January 2013 (UTC)
Copyright problems with File:BostonExplosion2013.jpg
[edit]Hello. Concerning your contribution, File:BostonExplosion2013.jpg, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from Taken from this site, which clearly shows all rights reserved at the bottom. There is no indication of release into the public domain. As a copyright violation, File:BostonExplosion2013.jpg appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. File:BostonExplosion2013.jpg has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.
If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:
- If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at File talk:BostonExplosion2013.jpg and send an email with the message to permissions-enwikimedia.org. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that it is licensed under the CC-BY-SA license, leave a note at File talk:BostonExplosion2013.jpg with a link to where we can find that note.
- If you hold the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the CC-BY-SA and GFDL, and note that you have done so on File talk:BostonExplosion2013.jpg.
However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While contributions are appreciated, Wikipedia must require all contributors to understand and comply with its copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. Hammersoft (talk) 22:13, 15 April 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Edit summaries
[edit]Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you.--220 of Borg 18:13, 16 September 2014 (UTC)
Signing
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. --220 of Borg 18:13, 16 September 2014 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:MoonshinersLogo.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:MoonshinersLogo.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 21:07, 14 May 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 08:07, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
