Pancreas

[edit]

I started wikifying the pancreas articles you started. You're welcome to join in.

I merged serous cystic neoplasms in to the pancreatic serous cystadenoma article -- aware that they aren't the same... though nearly so (as the malignant serous tumours in the organ are so rare). I did something similar for the cystic mucinous tumours. I started an article for solid pseudopapillary neoplasm. Nephron  T|C 04:23, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Poonam Pandey requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Thank you for updating this article on WP. I believe the material you contributed is a good enhancement to WP, and I do appreciate it. I have made some gentle edits to the material you provided to bring it closer to what I understand to be the tone and purpose of WP. If you disagree with my input, please revert any edit I made, and clearly state why, so that the thought process can be followed. I hope you will continue to provide meaningful improvements to WP. In meeting you this way, may I also entice / encourage you to go through the WP articles on neuroendocrine tumor and pancreas cancer, and other articles of interest, with a view to suggesting any improvements you perceive meritworthy. I wish you continued success in all matters.FeatherPluma (talk) 20:57, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to pancreatic cancer. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. A tag has been placed on Pancreatic mass requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://apps.pathology.jhu.edu/blogs/pancreas/?p=31. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. –dlthewave 21:45, 3 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
