- Thanks! I'm still figuring out how Wiki works, but have interest in making sure articles are factual and neutral, esp after the recent GE! :P Alverya (talk) 01:17, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
formatting of politicians
[edit]Hi! If you see how Wikipedia formats the articles about other politicians, rather than dividing their biographies into "nonpolitical" and "political" sections we generally have a more personalised way of doing it. I am aware this is how the SG Cabinet website might format their articles, but Wikipedia often has a different format. Elle vécut heureuse à jamais (be free) 20:30, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks!! i'm still learning. i'll go look at other politicians wiki pages and see what they format it as. then i'll go reformat the pages i edited. :) thanks!! Alverya (talk) 01:27, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
possible conflict of interest editing
[edit]Hi -- after seeing one of your edits come from a Ministry IP I wasn't sure whether you were editing for an employer or not. I did mention my concerns about you at problematic anonymous users at articles about Singapore politicians, possible conflicts of interest and government censorship|AN/I report about possible government-sponsored editing, but I am happy to be proven wrong. If I am mistaken, please forgive me. If am not -- well, that's an issue. Elle vécut heureuse à jamais (be free) 10:23, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
- Nope. not doing it for work. just doing it to learn. started with topics i'm more familiar with, but on personal basis. Like I said before, on your page or strange passerbys (can't remember whose), I'm a noob learning. so made the noob mistake earlier but you'll notice that i've not been doing it for a while, so I ask that you not try to make an "agenda" out of my mistake. now i just try and make things factual and neutral, not basis on either side. so i don't remove "negative things" as long as it's properly cited and referenced. So, will you still continue to "report me" or let me continue learning here? Thanks. Alverya (talk) 10:28, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
- Okay, I simply found your preoccupancy with certain topics kind of weird. But I am happy to help you learn. I just want to know one thing though -- I noticed that for one edit you edited from a government IP. Can you explain this? Elle vécut heureuse à jamais (be free) 10:53, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
- I found your explanation. Thanks. Elle vécut heureuse à jamais (be free) 10:57, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
