I am sorry that your first "welcome"

[edit]

to wikipedia is coming from a "bot", a machine. Let me try and do better. I do a fair amount of New Mexico editing and would like to say hello and make a suggestion. If you write something, anything, on your User Page, then your name wll appear in blue and not in red and other editors are liely to give your edits more respect. Very few serious editors have their name show up in red and looking at a few of your edits it appears to me that you are a serious editor. Einar aka Carptrash (talk) 18:50, 14 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I also note that you made a very recent change in a posting that I'd made at Pueblo Revolt. changing the name of a pueblo from "Khe-wa" to something else, which was probably a good change. I will point out that my posting was a quote from Sando & Agoyo's book - referenced, I believe, and perhaps this should be taken into account. Or not. I don't feel strongly about it. Carptrash (talk) 19:16, 14 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit is fine. My point was sort of a moot, let's chat about how-many-angels-can-dance-on the head-of-a-pin sort of observation. The book's authors, Sando is (I believe) from Jemez Pueblo and Agoyo is from Ohkay Owingeh, so your relatives get the right of way. Carptrash (talk) 19:29, 14 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Marlon_03.29.08_2pm_010.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Marlon_03.29.08_2pm_010.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:38, 7 April 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 20:38, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I saw that you edited or created Jemez Historic Site, and I noticed that the username you have chosen, "Jemez State Monument", seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of something other than yourself. Please note that you may not edit on behalf of a company, group, institution, product, or website, and Wikipedia does not allow usernames that are promotional or accounts that are shared. If you are willing to use a personal account, please take a moment to create a new account or request a username change that represents only yourself as an individual. You should also read our Conflict of interest guideline and Plain and simple conflict of interest guide, and remember that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. —me_and 18:59, 2 May 2013 (UTC) Yes, I would like to change my username.[reply]
