Thanks for the feedback: It makes me feel very welcome! I'm still learning the ropes but now I know whom to ask question when I get confused. May I ask how to improve my article by giving me an insight where I can get my reference/citation if ever I can't find one. Second, please help me about the comment sent by you regarding the notable thing. Thank you.--Screamborn (talk) 13:33, 2 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Screamborn: I'll provide you guidelines for improving the article, they're easy to follow long as the subject is within the policies and guidelines of Wikipedia. To answer your question where to find cite/reference, these are can be found on Google, Bing or any search engines, but they must confront with the standards of WP:GNG, You might want to see WP:RS and generally reliable sources can be found from major sites such as newspapers, novel or books, these sources can be considered as reliable source long as the source is not self-published. If you can't find sources to encourages the claims in the article, then I strong advise you not to write the phrase without citing the source. I'll send you a list of guidelines and the rules of Wikipedia to your talk page where you can create appropriate articles that deem to be acceptable to Wikipedia. Thus the articles you created will not be rejected if you have learned the policies and guidelines of Wikipedia.  MONARCH Talk to me 14:06, 2 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Trail's End Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished With Oregon Oak

[edit]

Hello,

I'm wondering if you would be able to provide examples for how the article sounds like an advertisement. I worked hard to post content similar to comparable alcohols, and have used reliable sources for every statement, yet the page won't be approved. Thank you for your time and your help. Trail's End Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished with Oregon Oak Mikegabrielli (talk) 17:55, 6 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I believe that it is appropriate to query the edits made by User:Mikegabrielli. There is an account manager at the Smartfish Group marketing agency with this name and Smartfish handles marketing for the three drinks brands that Mike Gabrielli has been editing on Wikipedia over the last month. The three drinks brands are Lucid Absinthe, Sinfire and Trails End, and all are owned by Hood River Distillers. Hi Alpha Monarch. You rejected my submission for Adam Leon's Wikipedia page, stating that the reference URL links were not properly formatted. I have since fixed that, after which point you instructed me to contact you, which I am doing now in the hopes of streamlining the resubmission process. Hello Alpha Monarch, I am a new user and had created a draft on Prayas which was rejected by you. Additional references have been edited. I need further guidance if the issue of notability is addressed or not. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks. Relativity 28 (talk) 03:11, 21 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Additional Guidance, Please!

[edit]

Alpha Monarch -- this is my first wikipedia page.

I found Dynacast when I was on the Lake Forest, California wiki page and saw that Dynacast is a major employer, one without a link. I followed similar formats of other companies listed that have links.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Forest,_California

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spectrum_Brands -- they list the Spectrum Brands website as an official link to tell more about the company.

Additional knowledge and assistance would be greatly appreciated. I am looking forward to posting more articles in the future and want to make sure I am writing correctly.

Kindly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alloy16 (talkcontribs) 13:57, 12 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 01:07, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

New deal for page patrollers

[edit]

Hi Alpha Monarch,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:28, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

New Page Review needs your help

[edit]

Hi Alpha Monarch,

As an AfC reviewer you're probably aware that a new user right has been created for patrolling new pages (you might even have been granted the right already, and admins have it automatically).

Since July there has been a very serious backlog at Special:NewPagesFeed of over 14,000 pages, by far the worst since 2011, and we need an all out drive to get this back down to just a few hundred that can be easily maintained in the future. Unlike AfC, these pages are already in mainspace, and the thought of what might be there is quite scary. There are also many good faith article creators who need a simple, gentle push to the Tea House or their pages converted to Draft rather than being deleted.

Although New Page Reviewing can occasionally be somewhat more challenging than AfC, the criteria for obtaining the right are roughly the same. The Page Curation tool is even easier to use than the Helper Script, so it's likely that most AfC reviewers already have more than enough knowledge for the task of New Page Review.

It is hoped that AfC reviewers will apply for this right at WP:PERM and lend a hand. You'll need to have read the page at WP:NPR and the new tutorial.

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

[edit]

Hello, Alpha Monarch. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Chinatown TV is a TV show in the Philippines. I would like to make a Wikipedia page so viewers of this show on TV can find out more about this show - since there are no web pages such as IMDB that can provide such generally available information online about Chinatown TV.

I'm unable to find other news articles that can reference some information on our page, but Chinatown TV is linked in the Wikipedia pages of IBC 13 (The channel in which it is being shown) as well as other links which I have already listed in the external links section of the article.

Hoping for your approval.

Hi. We're into the last five days of the Women in Red World Contest. There's a new bonus prize of $200 worth of books of your choice to win for creating the most new women biographies between 0:00 on the 26th and 23:59 on 30th November. If you've been contributing to the contest, thank you for your support, we've produced over 2000 articles. If you haven't contributed yet, we would appreciate you taking the time to add entries to our articles achievements list by the end of the month. Thank you, and if participating, good luck with the finale!

2019 US Banknote Contest

[edit]
US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here
