Please help me with inserting a reference in a wikipedia article on fentanyl. I believe a useful reference in "Recreational Uses" would be: <Henderson, G., "Fentanyl-Related Deaths: Demographics, Circumstances, and Toxicology of 112 Cases," Journal of Forensic Sciences, Vol. 36, No. 2, 1991, pp. 422-433>, https://doi.org/10.1520/JFS13045J. - I see you also asked about this in the Teahouse. I'm glad to see you disclosed there that you were the author. I suspected this when I first read your request here and it rubs up against some policies about citing yourself that Cullen has pointed out to you.
- Reading through that section of the article and through just the abstract of your paper, I'm a bit unclear on what sentence in the section you would consider helped by referencing the article. Probably not the first instance of "citation needed", since we'd want to see a much broader survey paper to cite for that fact. If there are details in the body of your paper that support the second "citation needed", we'd need an editor who has access to make the assessment.
- The proper way to make this suggestion is
- On the talk page of the article: Talk:fentanyl as an {{edit request}}
- With a disclosure of your connection to the proposed reference
- With a precise specification of the change to the article that you propose.
- Ideally, with a filled-out citation template that the editor can insert. Citation templates are not very hard and there are tools that will generate the whole template when given just the doi.
- Thanks for helping to improve Wikipedia. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 06:24, 20 November 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at Wikipedia:Teahouse, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:13, 20 November 2018 (UTC)
