Incomplete DYK nomination
[edit]Hello! Your submission of Template:Did you know nominations/Shah Mosque (Tehran) at the Did You Know nominations page is not complete; see step 3 of the nomination procedure. If you do not want to continue with the nomination, tag the nomination page with {{db-g7}}, or ask a DYK admin. Thank you. DYKHousekeepingBot (talk) 06:56, 11 October 2016 (UTC)
- Hi there. You may have noticed that the DYK nomination page you created has been deleted: I did this because there were too many formatting errors to fix easily. I have recreated the page for you at Template:Did_you_know_nominations/Shah_Mosque_(Tehran). Please fill in the hook(s), caption, and so forth, and add it to the nomination page when you are ready. Regards, Vanamonde (talk) 06:38, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
- @Wehwalt and Vanamonde93: Thank you so much for your help. since this is the first time doing this, I'm not sure how much of it is right/wrong. Please take a look and if any changes is needed, please feel free to correct. thanks! --AlmaBeta (talk) 08:09, 14 October 2016 (UTC)

- @Geni: Thank you for your attention to this matter. I did add some more details and historic facts to the article, is it enough, do you think? --AlmaBeta (talk) 10:08, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
- Still doesn't have 1500 characters.©Geni (talk) 15:26, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
- If you are having trouble figuring out if it meets the size requirements, this script will let you find the size of an article very easily. Vanamonde (talk) 03:00, 17 October 2016 (UTC)
- @Vanamonde93: Thank You. --AlmaBeta (talk) 05:03, 17 October 2016 (UTC)
- AlmaBeta, the article remains too short at 1291 prose characters, even with the additions of October 24. Please let us know whether you plan to expand it further so it can qualify for DYK. Many thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 18:37, 3 November 2016 (UTC)
- @BlueMoonset: Hi. I would definitely get this article to +1500 characters within this week. Thanks for bearing with me! AlmaBeta (talk) 03:26, 4 November 2016 (UTC)

DYK for Shah Mosque (Tehran)
[edit]On 12 December 2016, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Shah Mosque (Tehran), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that in 1951, Prime Minister of Iran Haj Ali Razmara was shot dead by a religious fanatic while attending a memorial service at Tehran's Shah Mosque (pictured)? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Shah Mosque (Tehran). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Shah Mosque (Tehran)), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

- Thanks for the nice DYK. It was a good job! --Mhhossein talk 15:40, 12 December 2016 (UTC)
@Mhhossein: Thanks, if you're interested, we can work together to get more DYK about Iran going. --AlmaBeta (talk) 05:58, 17 December 2016 (UTC)
- Good suggestion, what articles for example? --Mhhossein talk 05:49, 18 December 2016 (UTC)
- @Mhhossein: Basically as you know the rules here are different than fa.Wikipedia's DYK. Therefore we need to create a new article that is going to have +1500 prose characters. Iran has a very rich and great culture, so I'm all for cultural articles about farhang-o honar-e Iran. --AlmaBeta (talk) 13:16, 18 December 2016 (UTC)
- Well, I have done some DYKs here and therefore I'm familiar with the rules. Any specific suggestions? --Mhhossein talk 14:38, 18 December 2016 (UTC)
- @Mhhossein: If you're interested I think fa:سلیمانخان would make an interesting DYK. --AlmaBeta (talk) 12:22, 1 January 2017 (UTC)

Articles on Movaghar family members
[edit]Hello, User:AlmaBeta! I send you warm greetings. Perhaps you'd kindly weigh in on a current matter of Iranian biography pages. Today here and in the Simple English Wikipedia I've noticed a number of recently created pages on members of the Movaghar family, by User:Aminnie (contributions). They lack established notability and have only meager content. I chose to help improve Khodadad Movaghar (a fellow translator), at least to Wikify, plus I wrote on the creator's Talk page. I'm interested in your opinion regarding how (or even whether) to proceed helpfully. -- Cheers, Deborahjay (talk) 14:29, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
- Hi User:Deborahjay! IMHO, this person doesn't have notability. I looked into Persian sources and didn't find anything about his military career. His article was also deleted twice in fa.wikipedia for lack of notablility. AlmaBeta (talk) 03:30, 26 October 2017 (UTC)
