- Dear Allyburr,
- I'm just dropping by to say well done on your recent contributions to Wikipedia! Especially, of course, with regards to the Bishopmill Villa F.C. article. I hope you don't mind that I went through it and 'Wikified' some of the layout and reordered the article. All of the information which you originally put is still there - I've just formalised it.
- Good luck using Wikipedia in the future - I look forward to seeing your future edits! All the best, -GilbertoSilvaFan 15:38, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
Hi again Ally! Thanks for your message.
Regarding the help - not a problem. It's actually been very interesting reading about the club.
Also, I've just made the connection that you're actually the manager of Bishop Villa. (I'm quick, aren't I?)
I saw the new changes you made to the article, and the info you added was great. As you requested, I edited it to make it look a bit neater. Also, I added an "info box" (the box which sits on most football club articles), and filled it in as best I can. However, there does remain some missing information which I couldn't find:
-The year the club was founded -The supporter capacity of the ground (if it has a set figure) -The chairman's name -The home and away shirt/short/sock colours
Also, if you wanted, I could add the club crest to the article. Is this image the club crest?: http://i108.piczo.com/view/1/i/4/c/1/f/l/4/d/k/b/l/img/i223291294_82920_4.jpg If so, I could put it into the infobox for you if you'd like that.
It is possible for you to add all the above information to Wikipedia yourself - but if you have any trouble at all figuring out how to do it, I obviously don't mind helping out. You can either reply here with the information, or experiment yourself. (It doesn't matter if you mess up on Wikipedia - everything can be easily undone.)
A piece of advice: when adding information to Wikipedia, try and remember that the article text should read like something out of an Encyclopedia (if possible). The style of text should refrain from using words like "us" and "we", and it should be objective; not reading like it was written like a fan (or a manager!). There's no problem if it was written by a fan - most articles are - but it should be quite similar to an Encyclopedia Britannica article.
Finally, if you are interested in seeing examples of a great club article on Wikipedia, try Arsenal F.C., or for a smaller sort of club with a fairly comprehensive article, see Hendon F.C.. Maybe they'll give you further inspiration!
Again, well done for spending so much time on the article. I look forward to seeing how the article turns out after further work!

- Hi again Ally,
- I received your email, but am unable to send replies to the address (it bounced when I tried), so I'll just reply here instead.
- Firstly, I uploaded the club crest to Wikipedia and it now appears in the infobox. I've also added the club colours (let me know if they're right), and I changed a few small things around with the rest of the article.
- I hope everything we've added is accurate, and remember, if you come across any more relevant notable information about the club, then don't hesitate in adding it. Again, good job with everything, and good luck for the future (in Wikipedia and in football!).
