September 2011
[edit]Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give An Jung-hyo a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. cab (call) 04:51, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for January 24
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Sohn Hak-kyu, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kim Moon-soo. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Orphaned non-free image File:Logo of People's Party (South Korea).jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Logo of People's Party (South Korea).jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Yoo Seung-min mystery
[edit]Hey, just saw your edit here [1], thanks—do you have any idea why news sources keep referring to him as Yoo Seong-min? I had to check I wasn't transcribing it incorrectly, but it turns out the JoongAng Ilbo, Hankyoreh, and the Korea Times all do it. But obviously he's 유승민 and not 유성민, so I'm not sure why he keeps coming up as "Seong". I set up a redirect anyway. —Nizolan (talk) 04:45, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
- @Nizolan: Hi, I also thank for your work on the South Korean legislative election, 2016. I've checked his official blog [2] and found out that his romanized name was actually "Yoo Seong-min". Koreans usually do not follow fixed rules when romanizing their name. So I think 'Yoo Seung-min' article should be renamed. If you are interested in romanization system of Korean and don't have problem with reading Korean, you can visit here. [3] 15:14, 17 April 2016 (KST)
- Hmm, okay, I moved the page to Yoo Seong-min per WP:COMMONNAME and left a note at Talk:Yoo Seong-min copying the two messages above (hope that's okay with you). Thanks for the links, I'll check them out. —Nizolan (talk) 06:32, 17 April 2016 (UTC)

POSCO Chemical moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, POSCO Chemical, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Disambiguation link notification for June 25
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Kim Dong-yeon, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kim Eun-hye. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]Hi Ally2580. Thank you for your work on Miky Lee. Another editor, Broc, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:
Thanks for creating the page. Please note that one sentence was copy-pasted with minor modifications from the Washington Post article. I rewrote the sentence and requested WP:REVDEL for the infringing page revisions. Please avoid copyright violations in future articles.
To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Broc}}

Small req
[edit]Hi! Thanks for creating various pages, the few I've seen look great! One small request; could you populate talk pages with Template:WikiProject banner shell and various Wikiprojects with ratings (it's ok to rate your own pages; ratings are fairly arbitrary)? It helps people like me who use Wikipedia:AutoWikiBrowser find these pages later. Thanks! 104.232.119.107 (talk) 05:26, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
