Hey

[edit]

Hey, saw that you added an image and a source to Kelly's article. I have to say great job, however, I correctly sourced the citation of the link you provided. Just keep an eye out on the correct citing for web. If you have any questions, respond here on your own talk page and not mine. Also, I noticed you had a few grammatical errors in your edits and did not link to shows that did have pages. Always make sure to check over all of the details to what you're editing, it brings a page more dimension, etc. MusicFreak7676 TALK! 20:35, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for doing that. I spoke with a guy here a wiki and got the warning removed. I will be adding more to the article soon... Allen.corrina (talk) 20:41, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The warning should have been removed the moment I added sources. Other articles share less than what Kelly has, and they're still standing. I plan on adding more as well. I've been doing a lot of research on Kelly. MusicFreak7676 TALK! 21:24, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Major, major problem with that photograph. It's copyrighted which means it is not free. Eric Schneider Studios must release the photo under the Creative Commons license. If they had done so the photograph would not be labeled as copyrighted. Read Wikipedia:Image_use_policy#Copyright_and_licensing. AniMate 22:25, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have permission from Eric Schneider to use the picture on the article page. However, I will do as you ask and get the information needed to repost the picture. Thank you 173.181.29.49 (talk) 13:12, 25 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Well when you talk to him you're going to need to get a copy of the picture without his name and the copyright symbol on it. Additionally, since we know you are not the creator of the image, he'll need to get in touch with someone to acknowledge that you have permission to upload his work and that he releases any copyright claims on it. The best way to do this is probably through one of the volunteers found through WP:OTRS. Finally, when he gets in touch with them he'll have to release the image under one of the licenses listed at Wikipedia:File_copyright_tags#For_image_creators. It sounds like a lot, but really it's just a matter of him giving you the picture without the copyright notice and contacting one of the volunteers. They're great about things like this and make it pretty painless. AniMate 23:53, 25 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you!

The Special Barnstar
Excellent work coordinating everything offline in order to get Kelly's image on her article. Working on Wikipedia with images can be frustrating, especially when dealing with complicated license issues. I'm glad you stuck with it and got a truly excellent image uploaded for the article.
