Help me!

[edit]

I am interested in putting up a Wikipedia page for the nonprofit organization where I work. Much of our work and history is already referenced on existing Wikipedia pages. How do I get permission to put up a basic page about our nonprofit organization? Please help me with this! thank you!

Hello, it varies with the amount and quality of news sources there are, because PR and trivial passing mentions are unacceptable, you need news that is from known news sources or other similar publications. I would suggest WP:Your first article, WP:GNG and WP:CORP. Put [[User:SwisterTwister]] if you need help again and I will be notified. SwisterTwister talk 16:50, 6 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Response

[edit]

I'm sorry, but I really don't do that much article work. I'm not the one that you want to implement these changes, as I don't write articles. ThePlatypusofDoom (Talk) 16:32, 14 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

understand! Can you recommend another Wikipedia editor I can contact? thanks again.

Help me!

Please help me with...trying to address the request for additional sources for the page for Education Development Center. I have many such sources (newspaper articles, US government websites, etc) but I don't know how to insert using Wikipedia symbols and references. Can someone help me add? thanks so much. I'll repeat this here from our offwiki meet, so you can see it again here. The current amount of news is simply not enough and there would have to be an actual larger amount of news sources. No press releases or trivial passing mentions. SwisterTwister talk 19:36, 15 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Added Changes

[edit]

If you need me to add more changes, please contact me at my talk page. - ThePlatypusofDoom (Talk) 23:35, 15 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Can you use them as sources in a paragraph? Also, the "Top places to work" seems a bit too promotional. ThePlatypusofDoom (Talk) 20:41, 16 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The government one isn't a good source, the other one is. ThePlatypusofDoom (Talk) 20:46, 16 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I can't add any sources without you telling me what to write. Also, that source is already there. ThePlatypusofDoom (Talk) 21:06, 16 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Also, post anything at the BOTTOM of the talk page, not the top. Can you also just have a conversation here? Don't post on the talk page, just ping me with a message here. Ping me before the message by using ping (click on the link to learn how to use it). ThePlatypusofDoom (Talk) 21:10, 16 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

No, you ping by using (ignore the < nowiki > </nowiki> symbols around this: {{ping|ThePlatypusofDoom}} on your talk page, not mine. Also, we have all of this written down already. Tell your colleague to contact me on my talk page. ThePlatypusofDoom (Talk) 21:24, 16 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
