Request reason:

My username is not FSNBna, but I keep getting the blocked from editing error for that user It might be an IP address thing. Can somebody assist with allowing me to edit/add articles? further research shows I may have been auto-blocked? Can I be unblocked for editing?

Decline reason:

Confirmed sockpuppetry. I'll go block this account directly. Yamla (talk) 14:44, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I just spoke with a 331dot and quickly realized everything was done wrong on our side and apologize for all inconveniences caused by not following guidelines set in place by administrators.

Request reason:

I was marked for trying to promote/advertise and had not realized guidelines were not being followed. i read over the guidelines and sincerely apologize for all inconveniences caused due to my lack of understanding.

Decline reason:

It is not my intention to promote or advertise. I just want to be able to post an article I wrote a few months ago. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aliciamrath (talkcontribs)

This does not address your violations of WP:COI or WP:SOCK and in my opinion, does not sufficiently address your violations of WP:PROMO. --Yamla (talk) 16:00, 8 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies, I never intended to cause a conflict of interest creating multiple of accounts, or even try to make multiple accounts. I hadn't read the guidelines before hand about usernames and rules, but never intended to break anything. I am employed by the bank, but I was not intending to promote the bank. I had tried to post an article before (I thought I remembered being able to add stuff to Wiki in the past without an account, and didn't know you needed one until a few months ago.) but couldn't figure out how. As for the Sock puppet, It is absolutely not my intention to cause harmful editing or create spam accounts. before I found the guidelines today, I thought the issue was the username seemed promotional. I've always used Wiki for all my research in my day to day life, and just wanted to add an article of my own about some of ft. sills banking history after reading the Chase Bank article. and with promotion, I never intended to promote or advertise at all. I just wanted to share the history I researched and wrote about. that's all.

Request reason:

Also wanted to submit this way, I do not mean to break and guidelines again in the future if process is accepted. I'm just trying to be able to post the article i've wrote, and any future articles written. Aliciamrath (talk) 16:36, 8 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You will not be unblocked to post the article you wrote as it was not neutrally written. If that is your only goal this is the end of the line. If however, you want to edit subjects not connected to your conflict of interest, then tell us what they are in your next unblock request. PhilKnight (talk) 19:28, 8 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This user is asking that their block be reviewed:

Aliciamrath (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

If I can't be unblocked to post my current or future articles, is there an administrator/other source that can do it for me? I don't understand what you mean by not neutrally written when I spent my time and efforts researching what I needed and wrote the article myself. I do not currently have any other topics written up to post, other than this one. I haven't put time into creating anything else useful for Wikipedia because I have not been able to access any editing features. If I was able to upload articles I have several other things I could contribute to by uploading/editing based on research. I have not been able to utilize anything inside of Wikipedia due to my own errors. I don't think I mentioned in any appeals that my only goal utilizing Wikipedia was for a singular article, however I have mentioned that the main issue is my error when not reading guidelines. I researched the topic of my article and saw nothing on Wikipedia for it, and wrote something up myself. What are steps I need to take to be able to Utilize Wikipedia's editing features for any future research projects of mine other than the current one I have finished? Hi Alicia, your previous article contained phrases like "has a tradition of distinguished banking service", which aren't particularly neutral. See WP:NPOV and WP:YESPROMO for more information. We'd really prefer that you don't try to rewrite this article on the bank you started. But can you tell us what else you might want to edit on, if you were unblocked? -- asilvering (talk) 00:00, 9 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Alicia, our articles are typically written by independent editors wholly unconnected with the topic, who take note of a topic in independent sources and choose to write about it. We're going to want to first see edits from you that show you understand relevant policies before permitting you to indirectly contribute about your bank or anything for which you have a conflict of interest, so that we know you understand relevant policies first. 331dot (talk) 09:13, 9 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
