Lemma
[edit]Hi Algae. I disagree with moving lemma to lemma (mathematics). Please join the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Mathematics. Thanks. Oleg Alexandrov 21:55, 8 September 2005 (UTC)
Italics
[edit]Sorry about my italicization (if that's a word) of the song names on the Cole Porter page, I got a little confused with the show names being in italics. I note the style guide states that it should merely be quotation marks, as you have formatted them. Cheers, Cdyson37 | (Talk) 22:59, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
You may add the vandal to the Vandalism in Progress page: WP:VIP. Hopefully an admin will notice and act. Pavel Vozenilek 21:55, 19 December 2005 (UTC)
Missing Article
[edit]Yeah, why not. We really don't have one? Wow, I'd've thought we would have one. Jim62sch 11:03, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, a disambig page is definitely in order. I would concentrate on the Glaucon of the Republic (as you might have guessed) first, then the others -- but the others may be at best stubs. Jim62sch 18:19, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
I can only revert Theodore one more time to the previous version: 3RR. Alexander 007 09:27, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
Plasticine
[edit]Because of the history of Plasticine, I was hoping to add a little info about the idea that the invention used to be associated with the inventor, but that now seems to be a bygone era. -- Pinktulip 09:45, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
Otzi
[edit]- In matter of facts I have to recognise that i'm not used to deal with licence, but this one is an edited printscreen of a tv show, so I think it's fair to use it am i wrong? Jfreyre
Drug chart
[edit]Thanks for the compliments :) Unfortunately I do use only the wikipedia editor to move text elements around, and a great deal of it ends up being making small adjustments to the numbers and previewing it to see if it is in the right place. It is also unfortunate that wikipedia has no inherent ability to set up something like this easily. If you have suggestions of additions or relocations, but don't want to tackle the mess of divs, please make them on the talk page, and I will reflect them in the chart. --Thoric 20:10, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
Re: Robert Jager
[edit]If it is a copyright violation (and indeed it is), add {{db-copyvio|url=url of source}} to the top of the page, list it at Wikipedia:Copyright Problems by adding {{subst:article-cv | PageName}} from [insert URL here] ~~~~ , and then notfiy the uploader using this tag- {{subst:nothanks | PageName}} ~~~~. There are also instructions you can follow on the copyright problems page to help remedy the situation. --Pilotguy (talk ¦ ✉) 00:10, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
I don't think that it's worth creating another section for external links in this case, given that readers would look for those links under Further reading, anyway. You have cluttered up the article and the table of contents by doing so. The because-it's-in-the-MOS,-it's-right argument is a weak one.
Sincerely,

Speedy deletion nomination of Committee on Publication Ethics
[edit] A tag has been placed on Committee on Publication Ethics requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding
{{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. katherine_a (talk) 16:24, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
Sorry, disregard the warning above. Copyvio was introduced by other editors. katherine_a (talk) 16:32, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
