Problem with your sourcing on the Arado Ar 196 article - please discuss on the talk page

[edit]

There are problems with the sources you added to the Arado Ar 196 - the cite for Greek use to The Mediterranean and Middle East is vague and doesn't seem to back up the claim, while Frank Joseph, the author of the book you are basing the claim of Romanian use, appears of questionable reliability. Please discuss this on the article talk page.Nigel Ish (talk) 12:02, 18 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have no idea who Frank Joseph is, I am referring to Arado Ar 196 Units in Combat by Peter De Jong, a well respected publication. AlexMehtidis (talk) 04:55, 19 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Lancaster edits

[edit]

Thank you for trying to fix the nonsense about the Lancaster being seriously considered for use with an atomic bomb. I tried to do the same and was also immediately reverted. Some seem to be clinging desperately to a false but cherished idea. There must be an avenue of appeal to a higher authority. Tupelo the typo fixer (talk) 19:26, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, yes, it's somewhat hard to delete the segment, because people ask for a source - but of course you can't find a source that talks about something that's completely made up. It's reflecting very badly on the editors which are keeping that up on the Lancaster page, I have no idea why it's still there... I'm not sure who to appeal, other than continuing to take it down.
