Sockpuppet investigation
[edit]Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Muffinatorr, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

This account has been blocked indefinitely as a sock puppet that was created to violate Wikipedia policy. Note that using multiple accounts is allowed, but using them for illegitimate reasons is not, and that all edits made while evading a block or ban may be reverted or deleted. If this account is not a sock puppet, and you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}} below. |
- What the fuck? That note was placed by someone who went by User:Alev13245, who created their account four minutes after mine. I don't understand the practical joke here--why am I being blocked? -- Alev12345 (talk) 12:54, 2 May 2016 (UTC)

Request reason:
I'm being framed. User:Alev13245 is the one who posted the note you're accusing me of. Alev12345 (talk) 12:55, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
Accept reason:
Unblocked. Indeed, impersonation that should have been obvious in the first place. --jpgordon::==( o ) 13:42, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
Is anybody there?
User:Anthony Bradbury, what you said isn't true about "self-confessing". Please see above.

Can someone please tell me how to clear myself of these charges?
Alev12345 (talk) 13:14, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
Help me, please. Another user posted on my user page that they were VeggieLover something something. Now my account is being blocked as a result, and an administrator is trying to delete my first article. There's an "investigation" into my account, and I'm invited to respond, but I'm not allowed to respond because I'm blocked. Can somebody explain what I've done wrong here?
User:Qpalzmmzlapq, are you still here? Alev12345 (talk)
@Anthony Bradbury:. Looking at the edits on the main user page, it looks like there are two different editors involved. This one, and another with almost the same name. I cannot immediately find evidence that this user is actually related to the other. It looks like perhaps this user's been bitten by a troll. I'm unfamiliar with the vandal in question, so I can't really compare the behaviour particularly well. But I think this is at least a candidate for unblock consideration, barring evidence to the contrary in the sockpuppet investigation? --Yamla (talk) 13:20, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
And Alev, please slow down a little. You are making it hard for admins to comment. I'm sorry, you'll just have to wait a little while for us to figure things out. --Yamla (talk) 13:20, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
Thanks. Will refrain from comment after this, but can you or someone stop the deletion of my article until this is straightened out? It's at International Strategic Analysis, and the note said it was about to be deleted over this sockpuppet thing. Alev12345 (talk) 13:23, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
- Okay, I've pinged the blocking admin and left a note on the sockpuppet investigation page. If you don't hear back before the end of today, please leave another comment here and I'll escalate things further. I'm hoping this can be cleared up in the very near future. I'll leave a note on that article. Thank you for your patience. --Yamla (talk) 13:25, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
- Looks like you've been unblocked. Alev12345, our sincere apologies for your block. You were targeted by another vandal and we should have noticed. Sometimes once an account is unblocked, what's called an 'autoblock' lingers around and prevents you editing for a while. If that happens, you can either wait for it to expire or you can follow the instructions and request that it be lifted immediately. Hopefully, this doesn't happen to you though. Sorry, and I hope you have a good day. --Yamla (talk) 13:51, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks Yamla. I'm grateful to you for straightening this strangeness out! Alev12345 (talk) 13:53, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
- @Yamla and Anthony Bradbury: Hello everyone. The user pages for Alev12345 and Alev13245 had the exact same thing, so I assumed they were sock puppets of Muffinatorr. I guess not. My apologies for assuming you were a sock puppet. –Qpalzmmzlapq T C 13:59, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
- This seems resolved; I've turned off the help request. Again apologies for the mistake. Huon (talk) 21:17, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
- The rror is, I believe, mine. I have been off-wiki for the past 3 days; please accept my belated apologies.--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 19:56, 4 May 2016 (UTC)
