NCBLG
[edit]Thank you for editing the page National Coalition of Black Lesbians and Gays! I have done a few edits to it, but I'm loathe to work on it too much: my NPV is questionable, as I am a close friend to ABilly Jones-Hennin. I hope you'll work on it some more. It's just barely more than a stub now, and I think the organization (and minority LGBTQ history, in general) deserve more coverage in Wikipedia. I am a straight white man who is a passionate advocate for LGBTQ rights, and the rights of all people. If you come across any articles that you think deserve more attention, let me know, and I'll look at them. Paulmlieberman (talk) 17:43, 10 March 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you for your edits and your support! I am new to Wikipedia, but I'm learning to edit by observing and reflecting upon the work done by users such as yourself. I came across the page a bit by accident, and I had very little prior knowledge about NCBLG. However, in researching the organization, I found myself fascinated about its inner workings and its relationship to larger socio-historical issues. I plan to work on the article further, and right now I'm trying to find more research concerning its history. As a black, queer woman I also hope to extend minority LGBTQ history on Wikipedia and I appreciate your advocacy. One article I think you might be interested in taking a look at is the African-American LGBT community page. I think it has the potential to become a more informative, cohesive page. Thanks again for reaching out to me, and please let me know to if you have any concerns or improvements regarding the page. Alethiachild (talk) 23:37, 19 March 2017 (UTC)
