List of succession to the Dutch throne
[edit]Eerst ging deze tekst over twee prinsen en toen stond er "they". Nu gaat de hele paragraaf over een prins en vond ik het logischer om "he" te schrijven. (Ik moest het toch verbeteren omdat het woord "as" ontbrak.) Je kunt het ook veranderen in "As soon as he marries..."
Hi

[edit]A BBC report had said the two parties were "tied" in the Bundestag according to projections. Obviously we now have more accurate info. Homey 01:57, 19 September 2005 (UTC)
Intresting Ayyavazhi Family
[edit]Hai Aleichem, there are intresting articles about Ayyavazhi, a new religion on both mythology and religiosity. Wikipedia is rich with this topic in English, but poor in other languages. Since french is a leading language in Wikipedia it is better to translate the contents on this AYYAVAZHI family to french. - Paul Raj
Der blaue Engel
[edit]It sounds OK to me. I don't know how accurate it is — 1930 seems a little late — but if it's correct that's fine by me. -Branddobbe 07:35, 1 October 2005 (UTC)

- Thanks, I've moved the notices up all the way to the top of the page, as they're not really supposed to be part of the article but more of a hint to people looking in the wrong place. --fvw* 21:17, 14 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit]News from Esperanza
[edit]Hello, fellow Esperanzians! This is just a friendly reminder that elections for Administrator General and two advisory council positions have just begun. Voting will last until Friday, December 30, so make sure you exercise your right to vote! Also, I'm pleased to announce the creation of the Esperanza mailing list. I urge all members to join; see Wikipedia:Esperanza/Contact for more information. All you need to do is email me and I will activate your account. This will be a great way to relax, stay in touch, and hear important announcements. Thanks! Flcelloguy (A note?)
This message was delivered to all Esperanza members by our acting messenger, Redvers. If you do not wish to receive further messages, please list yourself at WP:ESP/S. Thanks.
Another Esperanzial note...
[edit]Hi again Esperanzians! Well, since our last frolic in the realms of news, the Advisory Council has met twice more (see WP:ESP/ACM2 and WP:ESP/ACM3). As a result, the charter has been ammended twice (see here for details) and all of the shortcuts have been standardised (see the summary for more details). Also of note is the Valentines ball that will take place in the Esperanza IRC channel on the 14th of February (tomorrow). It will start at 6pm UTC and go on until everyone's had enough! I hope to see you all there! Also, the spamlist has been dissolved - all Esperanzians will now recieve this update "newsletter".
The other major notice I need to tell you about is the upcoming Esperanza Advisory Council Elections. These will take place from 12:00 UTC on February 20th to 11:59 UTC on February 27th. The official handing-over will take place the following day. Candidates are able to volunteer any time before the 20th, so long as they are already listed on the members list. Anyone currently listed on the memberlist can vote. In a change since last time, if you have already been a member of the leadership, you may run again. Due to the neutrality precident, I will not vote for anyone.
Yours, as ever, Esperanzially,

Old Skool Esperanzial note
[edit]Since this isn't the result of an AC meeting, I have decided to go Old Skool. This note is to remind you that the elections are taking place now and will end at 23:50 UTC on 2006-04-29. Please vote here. Thanks. --Celestianpower háblame 20:42, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

A short Esperanzial update
[edit]As you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on the Esperanza talk page as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. See what happened. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.
As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace JoanneB and Pschemp and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on 2006-07-02 and last until 2006-07-09. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before 2006-07-02. For more details, see Wikipedia:Esperanza/June 2006 elections.
Thanks and kind, Esperanzial regards, —Celestianpower háblame 16:00, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
Re: Template:Iaaf name
[edit]Sadly, the IAAF site does not support searching, so one has to use Google. It is slightly complicated, so you may want to look at the instructions at Template talk:Iaaf name. GregorB 16:53, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

TfD nomination of Template:Lists of newspapers in South America
[edit]Template:Lists of newspapers in South America has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for Deletion page. Thank you. Neelix (talk) 18:58, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
Another translation question
[edit]I was hoping you could help me with this one: what is the difference between groen bos and groenen bosch? Google translate does not translate bosch to mean forest unless groenen is in front of it, at which point, it gives me "Green Forest" as opposed to "green forest" for groen bos (not capitalized). There must be a subtle idiomatic difference here that I'm just not getting. Could you explain it? As always, I appreciate the help. upstateNYer 01:14, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
- groen bosch = green forest. imho groenen bosch is the genitive/dative form, like in Raymond_van_het_Groenewoud. Aleichem (talk) 07:39, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Kim Hoorweg
[edit]A tag has been placed on Kim Hoorweg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Team Inta Racing
[edit]I did think before acting. As no article existed on Daniel Tzvetkoff, and no article appeared likely to exist in the near future, as the newsworthiness of the person in question had largely passed, I removed the redlink as I felt it was pointless. That an article was subsequently created a week later was something of course I could have had no knowledge of. In future I would recommend creating the link after the article is created. --Falcadore (talk) 08:32, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
Nomination of What is the plan for deletion
[edit]A discussion is taking place as to whether the article What is the plan is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
