Igloo directions?
I can't find directions for Igloo anywhere. The help page just talks about filters. I'm wondering how to use Igloo, period. I can't find anything that tells me how to revert vandalism, what the different colors of diffs in the left-hand side of the screen mean, etc. Help? --- cymru lass (hit me up)⁄(background check) 22:17, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) It's simple:
- Click on the big triangular button on the top or press Q to perform a rollback.
- Red = Probable vandalism and Green = Free of vandalism.
- Hope this helps. ~NerdyScienceDude 22:20, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

CSDHelper feature request
Hello, I love your CSD Helper script and have some feature requests to make:
- Is there a way to make the script just pull the CSD long reason from the id="delete-reason" span element on the speedy template? I ask because the G12 template includes the source URL in the "delete-reason", which can be quite helpful for non-admins wondering afterward where the deleted page was copied from. Perhaps offer a switch to choose between using the arrays or just get deletion reason from template. For pages with only {{hangon}} the script could fall back to a blank deletion reason textbox.
- On the "talk page exists, delete?" box, add a link to view the talk page if it exists, in addition to the delete and ignore links, in line with the standard Mediawiki:Deletedtext behaviour.
- Add a "close" button or "cancel" link to the main "speedy / decline / change to prod" dialog because sometimes I notice too late the page has been moved, so I wish to use Twinkle to speedy, which nukes the redirects too - which brings me to the last request...
- If you can port the nuke redirects feature from Twinkle that'd be GREAT. :-D
Thanks again for a wonderful script. Kimchi.sg (talk) 13:17, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
- You can close the window by clicking on the csdhelper button again, but I could add a cancel button. I'll look into the rest of it, but I'm quite busy at the moment, so it might be a while. Ale_Jrbtalk 14:54, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
igloo more reasons for rollback
I've seen articles that are not just vandalism, they can be personal attacks, unsourced content etc. Like Huggle (slow, painful and can't find vandalized pages), can you add the ability to choose what to warn them? Sir Stupidity (talk) 10:06, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, this is definitely on my to-do list, and quite possibly at the top. Unfortunately, I am so ridiculously busy at the moment that it may be some time before this actually comes to fruition. Ale_Jrbtalk 10:38, 8 October 2010 (UTC)

Idea for Igloo
Would it be possible for you to make the article titles as well as user talk pages clickable? Mr. R00t Talk 00:19, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, I don't understand this. What do you want made clickable? Ale_Jrbtalk 21:57, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
- I think he wants the page title to link to the article's page on Wikipedia via an external link so he may click it and it brings him to the page. This is unnecessary because you can just copy and paste the link, though. Airplaneman ✈ 22:35, 24 October 2010 (UTC)

- No, but I believe it's the most useful non-rollback tool for vandalism reversion. Undoing will work as well for vandalism reversion but twinkle is a "more efficient" tool. --Addihockey10e-mail 01:19, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

igloo ideas
- Make the launch button in a more obvious place, like this. I had to make that because I was having trouble explaining to a few users where the launch button is, expecially on the vector skin where it's hidden inside a drop down menu.
- It's been having lots of false positives, please fix that.
- Custom warnings.
- MobileSafari compatibility with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.
Other than that, I love it and an't go back to using huggle! Great tool! Access Denied [FATAL ERROR] 21:24, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) I doubt igloo will support iPhone and iPod touch. It isn't very practical for the screen size of those devices. I would have to agree with the false positives. The ability to edit the whitelist/blacklist would also be nice. ~NerdyScienceDude 21:28, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) I would love for it to work on the iPhone/iPod but the writing would be way too small for the screen size, it might work with an Apple iPad though. About the whitelist/blacklist, could it be possible for igloo to work of the huggle whitelist/blacklist? If we were to have a separate blacklist they'd be almost identical. --Addihockey10e-mail 21:31, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker)Being able to edit those inside of the interface would be absolutely fantastic. I think that should be your first priority, at the moment. ~~ Hi878 (Come shout at me!) 21:33, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
- Meh, the main launch button is on the igloo page, which people are free to bookmark. Alternatively, they can bookmark the startup page, and igloo will launch and generate a session for them when they load it. This isn't a priority.
- You are free to disable any filters which are causing false positives - you can do this from within the settings menu. You will, of course, lose out on auto-highlighting of tagged changes, but if that's what you want, go for it.
- Custom warnings are at the top of the list.
- No.
- Hope that clears some stuff up. Ale_Jrbtalk 21:52, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
Also, for reference to people so they stop bothering me, the igloo whitelist is much, much larger and much, much more efficient than the huggle one. The huggle list is currently around 6000 users, as I understand it, and igloo's is around 18000. (If huggle secretly has another (different), much larger whitelist, let me know and I will take this back, and consider adding those users to igloo's list.) Ale_Jrbtalk 22:08, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
Whenever you get a chance to
As well as the features I requested above, I would also like to have an orange bar implemented for when you get new messages while using GLOO. How is the development going, and when can I expect to see a new version? ~NerdyScienceDude 21:25, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker)You know, I notice immediately when I get a new message, because I see the name of my talk page on the left. However, that doesn't work with high levels of vandalism if you are realy focused on it, so I suppose that this wouldbe a good idea. ~~ Hi878 (Come shout at me!) 21:28, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
- I usually don't notice while using igloo when I get a new message, which is why I requested the feature. Huggle has an orange bar appear when you have a new message. ~NerdyScienceDude 21:30, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
I made a filter for this:
if title contains Access Denied set score relative 1.0
Then it lists the edit at the top as probable vandalism. Access Denied [FATAL ERROR] 21:37, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
- Sometimes new messages show up as probable vandalism anyway, so it could be somewhat misleading. An actual orange bar just like in Huggle would be nice. ~NerdyScienceDude 21:40, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
- igloo automatically bumps any changes to your talk page to the top of the list, and mentions that it is a talk page change in the details bar. I will see about adding one, however, in the future.
- With regards to the development, as may be obvious, I haven't actually been working on it for a while - university started a while ago, and I've been stupidly busy. I will get round to adding and fixing some of my top priority stuff at some point in the relatively near future. Ale_Jrbtalk 21:48, 24 October 2010 (UTC)

Igloo problems
Hi, I have been having a problem launching Igloo. Everything loads fine until it returns the following error message: "Warning: igloo server returned an error: token-mismatch: your request token could not be verified by the server. Loading stopped."
I am running Firefox 3.6.12 (I have also tried Internet Explorer 8 and Safari 5.0.2) on Windows Vista, and I have rollback rights on Wikipedia.
Any help with this would be much appreciated. Thanks so much! WikiTome Talk 22:30, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) Igloo will not load on IE and Safari, so that is expected to happen. It was working just fine a few minutes ago when I used it on Firefox. It should work fine on all operating systems. ~NerdyScienceDude 22:48, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for replying =). Unfortunately, its not working for me. I have JavaScript enabled and I don't have No Script addon for Firefox. WikiTome Talk 23:15, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
- I now think the problem is that my firewall is blocking the connection. Would Igloo try to access Port 33296? Thanks, WikiTome Talk 08:07, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

Igloo preferences
I hear that Igloo has a preference window in the GUI for setting up filters and other stuff. When I launch Igloo, I can't seem to find a button that takes me to the preferences anywhere in the GUI. Can you help me out here? Thanks. Usb10 Connected? 14:33, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) There should be a gear icon in the upper right corner of igloo. Click on it to get the preferences. ~NerdyScienceDude 14:44, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
Dumb Igloo question
I assume that rollback privileges are required for Igloo to function, even if you don't want to perform rollbacks? I've been dealing with an LTA who proliferates socks and Igloo looks useful for detection (especially the filters), and other WP tools I've looked at seem to lack appropriate features, or are no longer being maintained. I'm relatively new to WP (i.e. started in February) and have performed little reversion (a longer WP editing history and considerable prior reversion experience seem to typically be prerecs for obtaining rollback priviledges). Other than Igloo, are you aware of any other tools with similar capacities for facilitating detection (that would be usable by someone with a reasonably strong computational/coding background)? Eurytemora (talk) 04:57, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
- Rollback is indeed required, because I didn't imagine anyone wanting to use a reversion tool for any other reason. Feel free to explain your reasoning the rollback request, and you'd probably get it, though I don't know how useful igloo will be as you'll have to watch it live to gain any benefit from it. Lemme know if you want anything else answering. Ale_Jrbtalk 22:43, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
