Igloo

I'd like to try Igloo. I put the code in my page; not sure what else I need to do to make it work.--iBentalk/contribs 21:28, 7 February 2010 (UTC)

Clear your cache, go to the igloo page, and click launch igloo. :) Ale_Jrbtalk 10:02, 8 February 2010 (UTC)

Igloo developer mode

Hi Ale jrb, I've only just got igloo going (I didn't realise that it didn't work with Vector skin), now before it starts it gives me the message: '...only available to developers'

I would still like to try it out. Could you add me to the list please?

Thank you & Kind Regards Marek.69 talk 03:51, 9 February 2010 (UTC)

Igloo was in developer mode because I was having some server troubles. These are fixed, and you should find it will now let you use it. Ale_Jrbtalk 13:01, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
Thanks, its working fine now :-) Marek.69 talk 18:58, 10 February 2010 (UTC)

Igloo

Hello, I am interested in testing your script. It seems to have a lot of potential and would be a great alternitive to other tools. Let me know if this is acceptable. Thanks!  Dspradau → talk  02:39, 13 February 2010 (UTC)

My host is currently having server problems, but I'll add you to the list anyway. It just might not work right away. Ale_Jrbtalk 09:44, 13 February 2010 (UTC)
That is alright. I noticed the server wasn't accepting the connection from the client.  Dspradau → talk  14:45, 13 February 2010 (UTC)

Igloo

I get the following error when I try using Igloo "Warning: igloo server returned an error: igloo-fail-auth: the server received your request but actively chose to refuse it, because your account is not on the whitelist. Contact User:Ale_jrb for assistance.. Loading stopped." What should I do ?--NotedGrant Talk 11:03, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

As the message implies, you need approval to use igloo, because it isn't finished yet. I'll add you to the list. Ale_Jrbtalk 12:06, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the tool but I get this error "igloo has closed
retrieval failed - lost connection to iglooNet retry | help" Now what :).? + The Launch Igloo option does not appear in the beta version--NotedGrant Talk 12:31, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
Igloo doesn't work with vector - this may or may not change in the future. If you lose connection, press retry - the server's working properly, I can use it fine. Ale_Jrbtalk 13:19, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
Thanks--NotedGrant Talk 13:21, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

That's the error message I received. I'm not too sure of what I did wrong, because I'm sure I did noting wrong. --Mikemoral♪♫ 18:18, 14 February 2010 (UTC)

You need to be added to the white list to use Igloo I got the same error ,Wait for User:Ale_jrb to add to the white list --NotedGrant Talk 18:31, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
Okay, thanks. --Mikemoral♪♫ 18:35, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
I'll approve you. :) Ale_Jrbtalk 17:33, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

CSDH problem

Hi Ale jrb. I've just tried testing CSD Helper in my userspace in the hope of exploring its options a little, but it keeps freezing at the stage of identifying the user who tagged the page. I've since confirmed that it works fine for some 'real' CSDs in mainspace, but I'm still curious as to what was causing it to fail for my test - anything spring to mind? Cheers, Olaf Davis (talk) 15:59, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

Hey. I looked into it, and it's because the script doesn't recognise your non-standard tag {{U1}}. I will look into updating it; thanks for bringing it to my attention. :) Ale_Jrbtalk 17:29, 15 February 2010 (UTC)
Aha, that makes sense! Thanks for clearing up the mystery - and also in general for your useful tool. Olaf Davis (talk) 17:45, 15 February 2010 (UTC)
By the way, while I'm here I think I might sign up to test igloo. Could you whitelist me? Olaf Davis (talk) 17:48, 15 February 2010 (UTC)
Yep, done. Ale_Jrbtalk 17:58, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

Igloo access

I've been using huggle for awhile, but I'm getting ready to get a new computer which will only have Linux for several months. Igloo looks like a nice alternative. Thanks for your work on it :)--Res2216firestar 22:16, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

Done. Ale_Jrbtalk 11:23, 22 February 2010 (UTC)

Hi, I've been using huggle for a while now. I would definitely be interested in testing your new script. Thanks a lot! Thisisborin9 09:15, 21 February 2010 (UTC) Done. Ale_Jrbtalk 11:23, 22 February 2010 (UTC)

Igloo

Hello, Ale jrb. I would like to try Igloo, if it will work with the vector skin. Thanks. NerdyScienceDude :) (✉ click to talkmy editssign) 00:19, 27 February 2010 (UTC)

Dude, sorry to break it to you, but it only and will only work for the monobook skin. It says so at WP:IGLOO. Airplaneman talk 04:49, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
That's right. Until the program is completely finished, I have no intention of worrying about skin compatibility. If you'd like to use igloo, you'll have to use monobook. Ale_Jrbtalk 11:28, 27 February 2010 (UTC)

Thanks!

Hey Ale Jrb, Thanks for taking the time to write Igloo! I've found it a suitable replacement for Huggle on my Mac and GNU/Linux computers, as well as my non-personal Windows computers. I hope you don't mind that I made a slight modification to the code in my own userspace: User:X!/iglooMain.js. All that is different is that it adds a block link next to each username, as well as providing a block link instead of reporting to AIV after the 4th warning. With this modification, Igloo is now indispensable. (X! · talk)  · @261  ·  05:16, 27 February 2010 (UTC)

Cool, no problem. Ale_Jrbtalk 11:21, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
