Accurate texts & lines have been redacted in the Afrikaner section.

[edit]

I restored some of your previous sentences in the Afrikaner section concerning the Great Trek & Orania. I find your paragraph on Orania to be much more accurate than the one which keeps getting reposted by the same individual. I tried to inform him about it by relatng / posting the facts of the situation to him on his talk page, but he responded tersely that I was somehow being "apologist" (of what?) while he never pointed out what he found apologist. I posted links to articles to bolster the point.

Wikipedia Neutral Point of View Policy

[edit]

Alcatel, please read Wikipedia:Neutral point of view and try to respect this policy. You are also not doing yourself any favours by using terms such as "kaffir" on Wikipedia. Elf-friend 10:23, 25 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I answered this at your talk page Alcatel 18:16, 25 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. As a member of the Wikipedia community, I would like to remind you of Wikipedia's neutral-point-of-view policy for editors. In the meantime, please be bold and continue contributing to Wikipedia. Thank you!

Warning: Please do not add obscenities to Wikipedia. Injecting unnecessary profanities, racially or sexually abusive comments, or provocative pictures to articles or user pages offends many people. Wikipedia treats such actions as vandalism and blocks people from editing for such repeated vandalism.

The content of your submitted articles is in breach with Wikipedia's Guidelines. Please refrain from posting or editing hateful articles, regardless of how much you consider them to be accurate.

Cheetah (fighter)

[edit]

Hi. I noticed that you were the author of the Cheetah (fighter) article, which needlessly duplicates the Atlas Cheetah article. As a result, we are planning to merge your article into the previously-existing one. However, before we do so, we need to be able to verify the figures included in your article's specifications section. Do you perhaps have a reference for them? Thanks for any assistance, — Impi 12:20, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Muti.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Muti.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 12:06, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

Welkom!

[edit]

Ek sien jy dra nou al 'n geruime tyd by tot Wikipedia, so ek wil maar net welkom sê.

An image that you uploaded, Image:Zimbabwean.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Copyright problems because it is a suspected copyright violation. Please look there if you know that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), and then provide the necessary information there and on its page, if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.

Re: almost all your edits.

[edit]

You are in danger of violating the three-revert rule on many pages. Please cease further reverts or you may be blocked from further editing. dewet| 06:07, 19 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What you may also not understand is that Wikipedia is a community; either you edit to fit in with this community, or you will be opposed at every junction. Many others have tried a war of attrition on Wikipedia to force their ideas in — I can guarantee you that it will not be successful. dewet| 06:12, 19 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Continued use of racial slurs

[edit]

Hi. I've reverted your use of the word "kaffir" on the Andries Pretorius page. While the word may have some legitimate uses, where it has become part of another name (eg: Kaffir lime), its use to describe native African people in South Africa, or elsewhere, is insulting to those people. You have been informed of this previously. Please cease using racial slurs in your contributions to Wikipedia. -Kieran 12:48, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
