Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at John F. Kennedy University. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. I see that the link does work and your information is correct. (In an earlier edit by an IP editor, I saw that Powell was added without supporting reference and that he was a golfer. Thus I suspected vandalism had occurred in this case.) S. Yes, well it appears by looking at the edits that you have a personal bone to pick with anyone posting on the page, I also see that someone attempted to post this same thing & you blocked it once before... Maybe it's time to move on. Alberto1989 (talk) 02:54, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Not at all, on either account. The first Dr. Mac listing did not have WP:RS or an explanation, but I looked him up and saw that he was a golfer with the JFK Golf Academy. So it looked like a joke -- and your very first edit seemed to be repeating the joke. This happens. IPs add something they think is funny, and the stuff gets removed. Then they wil set up an account with WP, hoping that their fun edits will endure. Also, when I hit the link on your edit, a 404 error came up. But then another editor pointed out that the link was good. So I restored your edit and struck out the message I had posted above. My overall goal is to improve all articles in WP, and those about law schools in California. JFK is hundred of miles me and I have no concern as to its success or failure. As for the other edits you saw, they were in indeed disruptive, and removing them was the consensus of the community. Please assume good faith in me and I will do the same for you. Thanks. – S. As you can see, I've added a banner to "your" userpage. Please note that Wikipedia is not a soapbox, and this restriction applies to all pages, not just articles. The banner may prevent disputes. But I advise you that persisting in attempts to use WP for your personal battles will not be allowed. – S. Rich (talk) 06:27, 11 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Alberto, please note that the word vandalism has very strict meaning here on Wikipedia - someone who is helping you out by adding a pretty standard piece of information to your userpage should never be accused of vandalism. (✉→BWilkins←✎) 08:54, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your Userpage.....

[edit]

....let me just point you to this. Please read it carefully, because imho what you have on your userpage is at best borderline regarding its content. And the edit to your userpage by User:Srich32977 was indeed helpful, both in intent and effect, so I would appreciate if you could retract your warning to him. Regards. Lectonar (talk) 09:11, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've seen the message -- it doesn't bother me. (I may simply remove in accordance with WP:OWNTALK.) More importantly, Alberto has restored his userpage banner, so it looks like your admonition to him has been helpful. Even so, I note it popped up on a Google search for "User:Alberto1989". So the index feature of the banner may not be effective. (That is a technical area that I really can't comment on.) Alberto, please consider that 2 other editors have commented about your editing. They do in an effort to help you, as a new editor, to make constructive contributions to WP. Taking a combative attitude about these messages will not be productive. Thanks. – S. Thank you all for the feedback, Please note that my strong response is because I do not view Srich32977's edits as helpful, I have reviewed many of the edits listed in his page and I consider his edits as vandalism because I feel targeted by him for supporting others he disagrees with & because in the past he has reverted edits without cause and for this reason I would like to ask Srich32977 to leave my personal user page alone regardless of how "trivial or helpful" he may think the edits are. Any comments or concerns should be added to the talk page.

Thank you for letting me know about the strict permitters of the vandalism banner, if you can suggest another banner that would better reflect my concerns that Srich32977 appears to be what feels like wiki stalking my every post edit or comment, I would most definitely appreciate it.

As to the reason I put the banner up, I did it because I am still learning the wiki process & I found the banner on the instructions page, it was done for NO OTHER reason and well before these comments were posted.

On another note, I do not want this to become a Srich32977 is mean to me posting, & and don't want to hear about all the way's people think he's great, I really don't care, I honestly am interested in helpful feedback (from anyone other than Srich32977) about how to go about adding this information to wikipedia the right way. --Alberto1989 (talk) 23:35, 12 April 2013 (UTC) ps. Hmmm, an easy way always is to just talk about it, plain and simple, without using templated messages. One of the shortcuts ot these is always theat they are virtually never tailor-made for what you really want to say. Lectonar (talk) 06:56, 13 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
