Hey, I responded to your new message at my talk page. Thank you, Callanecc, for your warm welcome and helpful links! Yes, I need to remember to always sign on talk pages. I have been filling in the edit summary quite often, but am now striving to do it 100% of the time, now being aware of it's importance. I recently reached out for mentorship/adoption and am fortunate to be receiving wonderful guidance by an experienced user. Please never hesitate to call my attn to anything that I need to correct or be more conscientious about! Again, thank you for your advice and welcome. Editors such as you and my mentor are important to us newbies and I appreciate your efforts! Albeit27 (talk) 20:28, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Chad Everett, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Republican and Dearborn (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:38, 30 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Albeit27, you are obviously among Wikipedia's WikiFairies and should probably join the Guild of Copyeditors forthwith.

DocTree! Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my efforts! I am thrilled that I helped an article go up in class! Plus I can hardly believe I actually have a barnstar! I wasn't even going to hope for one for a long time. I was unaware of WikiFairies and the Guild of Copyeditors. This is exactly what I need and want to do! And you have helped me to be bold enough to put a fairy userbox on my page (soon). Wow I can't tell you how much your encouragement means to me! And I must mention that Intelligentsium has been a wonderful mentor to me when I first reached out for assist and since then. Again, thank you so very much! Obviously this means a lot to me,,, Albeit27 (talk) 08:08, 13 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

One small thing

[edit]

Nice work you've been doing. One small thing I would suggest is to only mark an edit as minor if it doesn't introduce or change any content. Even small content changes shouldn't be marked as minor. See Help:Minor edit.

Other than that, keep up the good work! Λυδαcιτγ 06:20, 13 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Audacity!I can hardly believe my good fortune to hear from experts! I am so very appreciative of your time, kind words and guidance! I will diligently follow your advice about minor edits, as I don’t want to put extra work on anyone who may review those! You are very considerate to point this out to me and it’s just the type of thing I need to know (and I will review minor edit policies more thoroughly). Your reaching out means a lot to me! My best.Albeit27 (talk) 08:10, 13 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Dang it! I was trying to link you to this section. Oh well, it'll get easier at some point.Albeit27 (talk) 23:03, 13 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No prob. Did you mean linking like this: User_talk:Albeit27#One_small_thing? You can click the table of contents at the top and copy it from the URL in your browser's address bar. Λυδαcιτγ 05:06, 14 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yep! That'll do it :) Thanks.Albeit27 (talk) 05:21, 14 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You're diary

[edit]

I just noticed a section you removed. Did you know that there is a Wikiproject for Editor Retention found at WP:WER? I've pointed them to your statement. Ryan Vesey 06:01, 17 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks again! I’ll get to it immediately so I’ll know if this is good news for me or bad (maybe I shouldn’t have played with my talk page?). Either way I welcome your thoughts wholeheartedly! Again, my best.Albeit27 (talk) 06:43, 17 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Still on my way to read the link, but had to come back. LOL@myself because, while the diary was genuine, I was embarrassed and tried to hide it - who see's it? One of the biggest (yet nicest) whigs around. Gosh! I'll let you go now. Thanks againAlbeit27 (talk) 06:50, 17 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Aha! It's a good thing! Then thanks for sharing it with others!Albeit27 (talk) 06:56, 17 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
That was a very accurate dissertation. You should definitely not be embarrassed by something that hits the nail on the head as well as that does. Go Phightins! 11:46, 17 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Go Phightins! When I occasionally walk about the hallways here I’ve noticed you busily holding things together, so I very much appreciate that you’ve taken the time to offer your kind words and understanding! Thank you!Albeit27 (talk)

My Diary (again)

[edit]

With appreciated encouragement from Ryan Vesey and Go Phightins I will overcome my self-consciousness and put this back up! I am happy if it will help with your project goals at WP:WER. So here it is again, as before:

On the extreme off-chance that anyone reads this, it's really just a self statement, a few thoughts, some of which I’ll reformulate and move to my user page later.

It took me 2 years to find enough boldness to even correct the most minor of things on wiki, because I didn’t want to break it or p**s anyone off. So when I began a couple of months ago I did so with some trepidation. When I saw the wonderful posts above I spontaneously responded with glee. I stand by that and am ever so appreciative of any kind of input into my bit here. I appreciate praise as much as anyone, but am not here seeking it nor attention.

And this, some of which I may put on my user page: If There Were Wikiangels. I have seen troubled editors (ie - some who self-proclaim being autistic or having OCD) who are obviously struggling and perhaps receiving help from patient editors such as WTT and DB. When the troubled editor appears to be trying to do good work, yet is in risk of intervention and is obviously stressed, I have occasionally logged out (for fear of inviting drama) and come back to leave a totally noninvolved message such as this actual one: “Hello xxx and thanks for your recent editing at xxx. That was great information you added! A real plus for the article. I'm posting in haste at a public place, so please excuse that I'm not logged in, but I wanted to show my appreciation for your work. My best.” Of course I've only said that if the work was good. I am by no means an angel, but if wiki had wikiangels (like wikielves, etc), I’d be in line!

As far as my new project goes (more diary to self here) - the article that I’ve mentioned to a couple of editors and which I’m so excited to help overhaul, is in the works. I liked the subject and wanted to learn more. There are really only a couple of sketchy sources for it on line. Because of that and my interest I’ve bought a book and once it’s read I’ll be taking this on. I very much appreciate those who have visited me in my little corner at wiki. And, as said, this is just a self statement and I'm certainly not expecting responses.

Merry Christmas
