Date formatting in citations

Hi Alastairroberts! Regarding Alteromonas macleodii, to correctly render dates in {{Cite journal}}, you need to enter the parameter values as December 2014 rather than 2012-12, April 1972 rather than 1972-04, & June 2005 rather than 2006-06. Peaceray (talk) 16:23, 31 March 2022 (UTC)

You are a relative new editor. I would expect anyone would expect a learning curve.

In fact, my very first article elicited a more experienced editor to guide me in how to do citations.
