Hi, just to let you know, with the Amfootball template, you don't need to put in a final score that template does it automatically. Also to let you know, i'm going to be reverting your removal of the drive summaries. Just H 14:37, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks...

for the cleanup and adding week 17 to the Dolphins season. CodeCarpenter 21:17, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

Colors for NFL player Infoboxes

Hey Alakazam, I just want to let you know that the color in the NFL player infoboxes should only be used for active players. Thanks --Phbasketball6 00:38, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

Hi, I see you are adding a lot of external links to football pages. May I ask you to read WP:EL and WP:NOT#REPOSITORY, mass addition of external links is considered spamming. I will revert the edits. Thank you. --Dirk Beetstra T C 20:24, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

Just wondering about the external links as well. —— Eagle101 Need help? 04:49, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

Regarding various standings for indoor-arena teams.

Why must you undo my work so often? Example, if I put down that a team is currently tied for 2nd place, you change it to sole possesion of 3rd place. Once I listed a team as tied for 6yh place, and you made it sole possesion of eighth place. It is very early in the season, so there are still ties for divisional positions, and I really wish you would leave these alone. Tom Danson 06:19, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

Miami Dolphins player infobox colors

Many people find the aqua on orange difficult to read, the contrast doesn't really work. Please leave it aqua and white so all people can read it clearly.Chris Nelson 20:08, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

I didn't notice the colors, otherwise I would have changed it. Actually, retired players aren't supposed to have team colors anyway.Chris Nelson 20:16, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

I updated the Chicago Slaughter and Miami Valley Silverbacks records for last night. The Slaughter are 6-2, the Silverbacks are 3-6. I believe this is an honest mistake, but please try to be more careful next time, OK? Tom Danson 14:58, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

af2

The divisions in the af2 no longer have "ern" at the end of them (i.e. western>>west, eastern>>east). I noticed that you had reverted my edits to Spokane Shock to add back the "ern" at the end. It's been fixed now (by someone else), but I just wanted to let you know. If you check the af2's standings page [1], you can see that divisions are now without the "ern". Trent Green

Trent Green has not started a game for the Dolphins, so please don't add him to the template. He's not even running the first team in training camp yet, Cleo Lemon is, and there's always a chance Green could get knocked out for the year due to injury. This is what WP:CRYSTAL is about.►Chris Nelson 15:28, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on List of World Indoor Football League seasons, by Smashville (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because List of World Indoor Football League seasons fits the criteria for speedy deletion for the following reason:

2008 season hasn't happened yet and has no page. Essentially, this page is a list of 1 item that already has its own page

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting List of World Indoor Football League seasons, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 05:14, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

Pipe trick

Hey I noticed you just fixed a disambig problem with the NFL Comeback POY and Steve smith. Have you ever seen anyone use the pipe trick? Typing [[Steve Smith (Carolina Panthers)|]], will produce Steve Smith. Basically it removes any parenthetical expression in the article name. Just thought I'd let you know - it's a great time saver. Dolphins summaries

Hey, would you mind if I ask you to do a couple things when you write those? Can you write out 'touchdown' rather than put TD, and can you avoid using nicknames like "Fins?"►Chris NelsonHolla! 23:29, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

Steelers summaries

Thanks for posting the game summaries of Steelers games! I really appreciate them as a Steelers fan. White 720 00:15, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for adding the game summaries for the Cowboys games. As Chris said above, avoid using nicknames ('Boys) and also the word, fortunately. Thanks! MahangaTalk 06:47, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

Still trying to get their first win...

I just wanted to point out to you the repetitiveness at the beginnings of your weekly summaries at 2007 Miami Dolphins season. While I appreciate your contributions and it is true that they've been looking for their first win each week, You are starting each section with almost the exact same phrase, and this is a little too repetitive. If you would, try to go back and maybe mix things up a little so it stays fresh. I plan on going over the whole article more thoroughly once the season is over, but if you want to take a look at it now that'd be good. Thanks.►Chris NelsonHolla! 08:20, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

Linescore template

I just wanted to point out that when you add Template:Linescore Amfootball to the season pages, you don't need the total fields, they're calcuated automatically. You don't need to reinsert those fields after they've been deleted. --Highway99 (talk) 03:39, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

Game Summaries for all 2007 NFL games

Hi there, Alakazam. I noticed that you are quite quick about adding a game summary for every game played each weekend. I think your summaries are baseically good, but you need to listen to the advice given to you by several editors on your talkpage here (since 2006!) and you need to understand what neutral means. You need to avoid using "tone" words. This is an encyclopedia, it is not your personal blog of events. It is absolutely possible to write a game summary without using nicknames (Vikes, 'Boys, 'Fins, etc are unnecessary and they are meaningless to most non-u.s. readers).

  • Don't use Unfortunately and fortunately. Those are always opinions. Makes it look like a fan wrote it, not an encylopedic editor.
  • Don't use Drew first blood. Nobody is bleeding.
  • Don't use dominated, highlighted, or anything else that ESPN color commentators might say to describe a win or loss. Again, when a team wins 45-3, everyone in Wikipedia can decide for themselves if that is domination. What if the team that scores 45 points usually scores 90? Then, "they were held in check", not dominating. By saying dominated, you are adding your own opinion, the WP guideline for that is called Avoid Peacock terms.
