Greetings, just saw you reverted that anon's removal of the steroid section. Just thought i'd mention, if you look, all that info's in the article twice. Doesn't really matter which gets deleted, but it should be removed in one of the places i'd say. Regards,--Cube lurker (talk) 02:04, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
- No problem, I was a half sec from reverting myself till i re-read the article.--Cube lurker (talk) 13:17, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
Lesnar
nicely done. it would be nice to get it all in one sentence, but as it stands it has all the required information. thanks. Sennen goroshi (talk) 06:57, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
Fallout 3
Please don't make the mistake of assuming that the mention of Nova and the like in Fallout 3 somehow constitutes an opinion on my part. The information was factual and it was there when I arrived, I just trimmed and maintained the section which was overly obtuse and held too many typos. I took the liberty of removing the bit of Nova the Prostitute because it's simply not note worthy and belongs of a Videogame Fallout Wiki and not on Wikipedia itself. Just a quick thought though, something doesn't need to be controversial to be mentioned in the section in question, it just needs a note worthy reception of some kind. --Valentine82 (talk) 12:54, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
Jason Guida image
The image of Jason Guida was taken from a Mixed Martial Artist photographers myspace, in which sherdog also uses, there is no indication on the picture it was from sherdog so im not really understanding the problem, any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated. Can you explain the problem? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.159.1.180 (talk) 21:08, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
buyrates
UFC 91 I got from Meltzer.
I made up UFC 88's because I havent heard anything about it and usually when you put a semi-ridiculous number people notice and someone digs up the actual number. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.37.160.28 (talk) 22:52, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
Just thanking you
I wanted to say thanks for the advice on how wikipedia works because it explained a lot. I have changed to actually having an account and my username is ToeyJoey not 81.159.1.180 anymore. Thanks again!!
Flagicons
{{helpme}}
I have been reading Wikipedia:Manual of Style (icons) etc., but could not find a clear answer on whether the use of flagicons in infoboxes such as on this revision of Andrei Arlovski ("nationality" and "fighting out of") is discouraged / encouraged, or flat out forbidden as with birth/death-places. Thanks in advance! --aktsu (t / c) 23:16, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
- I would say if it's discouraged in one place in the infobox, it's discouraged everywhere in the infobox. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells • Otter chirps • HELP) 23:26, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
- The policy says only for the birth and deadh in the infobox, but if it discourages it there, I wwould think that would technically extend to any part of the infobox. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells • Otter chirps • HELP) 00:25, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
- The long held understanding is that there is no reason why a flagicon cannot be used to denote nationality as long as it is not used to denote place of birth or death. --Vintagekits (talk) 09:31, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
- You wouldn't consider them "emphasize[ing] nationality without good reason" (see the entire section at MOS:FLAG)? I'm guessing that's the reasoning behind removing/not adding them (as I've finally, and hopefully correctly, understood). --aktsu (t / c) 09:38, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
- You are correct I wouldn't consider them "emphasize[ing] nationality without good reason".--Vintagekits (talk) 10:38, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
- Hi, I'd like to offer my comments on your request. The MOS guideline recommends that a flag can only be used for "nationality" if the person actually represented the country in an international event (such as the Olympics). Even so, I also think that a solitary flag icon in an infobox adds undue weight to that one field, so I would exclude them altogether. Flag icons are best used as a vertically linear navigation aid, such as in lists or tables. Hope this helps — Andrwsc (talk · contribs) 04:23, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
Pictures
Yeah you're right, all the pics are from K-1 World Grand Prix 2008 in Taipei event. How's the license on those? We can use couple but they need to be cropped.Marty Rockatansky (talk) 22:34, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
- About the flags, are you gonna redo all the hundreds of fighter pages, hockey players, boxers and other athlete pages? try to change anything on Lee Hasdell page for example. i agree there shouldn't be more than one flag but by removing all doesn't really improve anything either. Marty Rockatansky (talk) 22:44, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
- thx for the pictures. i feel bad for Big Daddy, that sounds like a no contest to me. I'll add it back on, i had no idea the fight took place and its not listed on his sherdog rec.Marty Rockatansky (talk) 02:34, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
Your rollback request
Hello Aktsu, I have granted your account rollback in accordance with your request. Please remember that rollback is for reverting vandalism, and that misuse of the tool, either by revert-warring with other users, or simply reverting edits you disagree with, can lead to it being removed. For practice, you may wish to see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. Good luck. Acalamari 21:39, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
Lee Hasdell
I Have reverted it back, but i will remove all of the so called "Hasdell prizing" ok! —Preceding unsigned comment added by ClaudioProductions (talk • contribs) 01:40, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
Frank Mir
Greetings, I see you've been reverting an ip on the Frank Mir article. I do think I know the background of the edit. I remember on one of the episodes of TUF he said something about how in the dressing room after that fight his teacher gave him the belt. Unsourced, and out of context, i'm sure there was more too it then one fight, but just FYI that's what the ip is refering too.--Cube lurker (talk) 00:55, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

Fallout 3 Fail
Whoops. I was trying to revert all the way to [1] to finish undoing the vandalism that the IP editor before me partially undid, but I guess Twinkle figured I wanted to only undo my helpful immediate predecessor. Thanks for catching my mistake. --Dynaflow babble 07:14, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
Page protection
Do you know how to put a temporary protection on a page. i think both need one, Gary Goodridge and Badr Hari. thx. Marty Rockatansky (talk) 22:32, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
Vandalism
You have no business removing one side of an ongoing discussion in another Article Talk. Talk:Ray_Joseph_Cormier You did not even offer an opinion. You will not appreciate either if others do the same to you. DoDaCanaDa (talk) 23:01, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
- Not vandalism, didn't remove but moved. Replied on your talkpage. --aktsu (t / c) 23:30, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
- I feel I do owe you an apology, accusing you of vandalism. Being my Talk page, I am more vigilant than any casual browser. I saw immediately what was removed from the place where I wrote it. I did not scroll further down to see it had been moved elsewhere.
From the history I saw you had never discussed or signed anything before, and it was a wonder to me how someone could just swoop in from out of nowhere, and remove the answer within minutes, the response to the Editor who raised the question? Peace DoDaCanaDa (talk) 17:32, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
Royce Gracie
Royce Gracies fight with Harold Howard is not officially recognised by the UFC if you watch the Matt Hughes Vs. Royce Gracie fight and UFC.com both stated that he was undefeated until he lost to Matt Hughes, because the fight did not ever start the fight cannot be counted as a loss,as neither did Steve Jennum's or the other countless withdraws in that time period.
UFC also do not acknowledge his defeat to Sakuraba as a professional fight either as it did not comply with the unified MMA rules of the time and was modified to suit a BJJ practitioner. (much like Kimbo Slices fight with Ray Mercer was modified to suit boxing and brawling and was later not classed as a professional fight because of this even though it was initially.)
Please use other sources than Sherdog for your records, they are not reliable and are often wrong and out of date.
please excuse if you have recieved this message more than once,Wiki is giving me lots of page errors. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Glenbo1981 (talk • contribs) 22:21, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

Controversial stoppage
Please stop reverting edits on Nogueira page. The stoppage by Herb Dean was controversial, as is evident by taking a look at any MMA discussion forum on the Internet. Thank you! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.214.205.63 (talk) 19:47, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
Lee Hasdell
I have added a 9 more links to the page. Also i put the tribute video back as a link, as it does give some visual evidence for Hasdell's mixed martial arts record. Fights against Scott Dobbs, Paulo Di Clemente, Andre Mannaart, Sean McCulley, Peter Dijkman and Kenichi Yamamoto which do not appear on sherdog because their database is incomplete. Losses to Masayuki Naruse and Yasuhito Namekawa also do not appear on there. There is a link on here called Fighting Network Rings and it is a good reference for his mma record. As for the other claims, i am trying very hard to find refferences because some of the information is unknown to the internet. I can only give information based on my inside knowledge and conection to him. I will continue to search for resources, so keep an eye on this page and see if i have updated it with references. The only thing i can say is that information and claims are 100% truth, though i do understand i need to prove that. Thanks ClaudioProductions (talk) 20:48, 28 December 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by ClaudioProductions (talk • contribs)
I have found a few more sources. Two stating he was a 3 time thai boxing champion and his kickboxing background, trainer etc. Another two stating his fights with dwayne van de merwe and duncan arlie james. It is frustrating because i have a lot of information on his thai boxing career personally but no internet sources. Also one source that can be used for media critism, it is an article from the independent news. There are no sources for the oktagon challenge. Though i do have a youtube video of all three fights. Can a youtube video be used as a link ? thanks ClaudioProductions (talk) 22:12, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
well it is not presented as well. It seems to contain more mistakes. date of birth for example. In fact it is less reliable then my version. please can we just use my version as I find more sources. Him being my father, I take this page very personally. I understand where your coming from but because I know a lot about him and his career its not like an average fan etc lol. So it bothers me when the page gets changed away from my liking. ClaudioProductions (talk) 21:30, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
The reason i removed those two losses was because theres no point stating every fight he'ss had in that section, that is what the record is for. Now you have pretty much added every single fight why ? dont say im being biased and thats why i removed the losses, there are wins and losses in that bit and looks like its from a neutural point of few. As for promoting the first mma events im sure there are sources on the net, though i o have article sources. thanks. ClaudioProductions (talk) 17:42, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
Losses removed from mixed martial arts career section -
Hans Nijman Cees Bezems Joop Kasteel Masayuki Naruse Hiromitsu Kanehara Gilbert Yvel Hiromitsu Kanehara Wins removed from mixed martial arts career section -
Dave van der Veen Sander Thonhauser Peter Dijkman Dave van der Veen Ricardo Fyeet Ryuki Ueyama Achmed Labasanov
I removed wins and losses from this section of the article, why do we need every fight in this section ? Theres a mma record table at the bottom. This section looks too long, do not accuse me of just removing losses. What other refs do we need ? thanks ClaudioProductions (talk) 22:51, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
