- Multiple sources including Billboard, the company that actually produces the US charts call The Fame Monster an EP. Albums can be either an EP or and LP. The Fame Monster is Gaga's third EP and second album. Its an EP as its shorter in length. — Lil_℧niquℇ №1 [talk] 22:12, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
- But that's exactly what I'm saying. >... o_O a second major release is the same as saying second album... — Lil_℧niquℇ №1 [talk] 00:28, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
Take it to the talk page of The Fame Monster but it has been discussed a million times before and the conclusion is the same. LGaga is a US artist, Billboard (the US chart provider) lists the album as an EP many other reliable sources call it an EP. Thus it is her second album and third EP. Labels often label things differently for their own marketing purposes e.g. they called "Go Girl" by Ciara the lead single from Fantasy Ride but then a buzz single when it failed to chart. — Lil_℧niquℇ №1 [talk] 01:06, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
Re:
[edit]This has already been discussed many times before. The result was that it is indeed an EP. You are bringing nothing new on the table. Unless a press release or official post from Gaga's website, etc. calls The Fame Monster her SECOND STUDIO ALBUM and Born This Way her THIRD STUDIO ALBUM nothing can be done to change that. I, personally am between it being called an EP or studio album, so I could go either ways with the situation. The current way it is is perfectly fine. If any sources, as I said before, claim different - that's a more reliable source than what you are listing. I say you give it a break. And if you have to realize that just coming into the talkpage and pretty much demanding for it to be changed isn't a way to get something done that you wish to be. It's just gonna get people pissed off and annoyed. And also look at it from the other peoples side, this has been discussed SO MANY TIMES, with mostly the same people being involved with the discussion. ℥nding·start 23:36, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
- Did you even look through the previous discussion though? Billboard was already talked about and decided about. I suggest you just step back and if you really feel that it should be changed, get something together that isn't so "do it right now, right now, right now!!!!!!!!" ℥nding·start 23:45, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
- Studio is definitely the key. Album could mean anything. An EP is a type of album. You definitely need to explain it more than just showing links. Show maybe what's on the links. Just showing links of where they say it's her second studio album doesn't provide reasoning behind it. If you keep pushing it right now, I don't think it's gonna get anywhere. I see no problem for it being listed as an EP for the time being. I know it must be frustrating. I've been there. Just give it some time. ℥nding·start 00:22, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
If I were you...
[edit]I'd stop bothering the other users on their talk page before they block you for being a nuisance. I mean this the nicest way possible. I have seen it happen many times before. I Help, When I Can. [12] 23:59, 23 February 2011 (UTC)

[edit]The main reason everyone's getting pissed is... well frankly... this has already been discussed, yelled over, fought over, etc. and we finally came to the conclusion that it is an EP. EP's and studio albums are two different things. You always use the phrase "you know". Well, with all of the knowledge inside of you, you obviously must know that the standard studio album consists of twelve audio tracks. The sources that are most prominent and closest to the release state it was an EP. Gaga herself stated it was an EP. She's happy? Why can't you be?
When I first started Wikipedia 2,000 edits ago, it was solely because they got a fact wrong on my favorite artists page. I used to get mad at other editors for not seeing my view point, not accepting certain sources, etc. and then over the years (literally years) I realized that the rules and guidelines of Wikipedia are greater than one article. There are things to this day that I don't agree with in articles. But I have learned to get over it. This is one of the most important essays here. You win some you lose some. It is what it is. Now, If you plan to stay on Wikipedia, I suggest you join the Lady Gaga WikiProject and help out there. Hell, if you like Kylie Minogue and are willing to learn, you can help us out at my adopted project, Kylie Minogue WikiProject. I'd be happy to take you in.
I am letting you know now that I am dropping the issue. If you are not willing to do the same, I don't think Wikipedia is the place for you. So which option are you gonna take? I Help, When I Can. [12] 00:33, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
- Goodbye. I'm not sure how long it will be before you start getting warnings. Have a great time on Wikipedia. I Help, When I Can. [12] 01:02, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
