Welcome
[edit]If you have a message of encouragement or dissuasion, this would be the place to leave it. I am new to editing at Wikipedia, so little doubt there will be the occasional misstep, so please bare with me. I welcome all criticism in the spirit in which it is intended.
Well...
[edit]I knew it was only a mater of time that someone would be impolite here, and sure enough that time came. I invite constructive criticism, researched additions or deletions, but please remember that nothing goes up here without a great deal of thought. So just deleting something that had a lot of work attached to it without any discussion is rather crass and not in keeping with the solid foundations Wikipedia has strove for. If you have a problem with this article, by all means everyone wants input, but please keep it constructive.
Biker poetry
[edit]Other editors noted some issues with the project and offered constructive criticism. It took some time but I think I have it pretty much cleaned up. One of the issues that created problems was that some folks don't understand the standards an editor must follow when working on an article. The page should not be used as a link page to personal work. Links need to guide the reader to independent sources that verify the assertion in the article. In other words, one cannot just add their name and link to a list of prominent authors unless it can be independently verified that they are in fact prominent and even then a personal link is not appropriate. Self publishing a book will not meet the standard. Articles about the author, news stories, interviews and professional listings that conclude the author is well known and carries a degree of "fame" are appropriate resources. Disambiguation link notification
[edit]Hi. When you recently edited Biker poetry, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Biker (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
