Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Information icon Hello, I'm Cassiopeia. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Home of the UAAP have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Hello Akari.mis, good day. Pls do not add external links to the article or any artilces. Cassiopeia talk 06:39, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Cassiopeia! Thanks for the heads up, I'm gonna read the guidelines to understand it better.
But if I may ask, is adding external link for additional reference not allowed?
Thanks so much! Akari.mis (talk) 06:41, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Akari.mis. We dont add external link to any other body text. We can add one or max two external links directly reference to the subject (name of the article) such as a player external link to their club/sport team they play on the external link section. However, I suggest you do NOT do until you truly underdressed how to do them for if you act them wrongly, you will be subject to be blocked indefinitely from editing because to simply act external links would considred promotional/advertising and Wikipedia take this extremely seriously violate their guidelines since Wikipedia is an ancylopedia. I strongly suggest you to complete WP:TWA program (90mins) so you would understand some of the basic guidelines of Wikipedia which will help you on editing Wikipedia. Let me know if you have any further questions. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia talk 06:47, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I understand. Thank you Cassiopeia!! Akari.mis (talk) 07:09, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your username

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I saw that you edited or created Home of the UAAP, and I noticed that your username, "Akari.mis", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, service, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually (not your role), such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, service, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please request a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. Alternatively, you can just create a new account and use that for editing. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you.
