Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Happy editing! Cheers, Real4jyy (talk) 00:10, 19 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy tags on 1512 in Nepal

[edit]

Hello Ajay Platinum -- Welcome to Wikipedia! I've declined this deletion request; A7 does not apply to year articles, and there's enough present here that neither A1 nor A3 would apply. I'd advise you to hold off nominating articles for speedy deletion until you've carefully read and understood all the rules. Regards, Espresso Addict (talk) 08:13, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Thanks for taking a look at my RfD nomination; I'll be careful with using CSD A7 for year articles. Re. the other criteria, I felt that it lacked enough substance to warrant a standalone article, and that CSD A1 and A3 were the closest reasons. But, I understand that is just my opinion and may not adhere to the RfD rules. From your experience, would you recommend I simply edit the article to improve the sources and correct factual errors (dates and the spellings of the monarchs)? Looking forward to your thoughts. Ajay Platinum (talk) 08:21, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't edit year articles myself so I'm not a great person to ask -- though editing to improve accuracy is always a good idea, if you can! The other thing you could try to do with year articles is to merge into decades, though it doesn't look as if other years exist here. There's a project for year articles, who might be able to help out: Wikipedia:WikiProject Years, though they don't look all that active at the moment. Cheers, Espresso Addict (talk) 08:45, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'll reach out to Wikipedia:WikiProject Years and see if I can get a discussion going on how to proceed. Until then, I'll stick to cleaning up this article. I appreciate your inputs; thank you! Ajay Platinum (talk) 08:51, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:45, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
