Welcome to Wikipedia!

[edit]

Hello Aheppenh, welcome to Wikipedia!

Here are some tips:

If you feel a change is needed, feel free to make it yourself! Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone (yourself included) can edit any article by following the Edit this page link. Wikipedia convention is to be bold and not be afraid of making mistakes. If you're not sure how editing works, have a look at How to edit a page, or try out the Sandbox to test your editing skills.

If, for some reason, you are unable to fix a problem yourself, feel free to ask someone else to do it. Wikipedia has a vibrant community of contributors who have a wide range of skills and specialties, and many of them would be glad to help. As well as the wiki community pages there are IRC Channels, where you are more than welcome to ask for assistance.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Thanks and happy editing, Alphax τεχ 23:41, 11 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Humash and Chumash

[edit]

The link Chumash is a page on the indian tribe and language. The article on pentateuch is at Humash. I did not decide this, but I am trying to keep the links clean. The Chumash article has twice the links of Humash, so this is not an arbitrary decision. We could make Chumash a disambiguation page, but that would increase the numer of links which need to be piped. Therefore, when you want to link to the article on Humash, use either Humash or Chumash. We are using the former throughout Wikipedia except for cases where "Chumash" appears in a quote or a title. I am assuming the entries in 613 Torah Avenue are titles, so I used Chumash. -- Randall Bart 02:15, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
