Ways to improve Otosirieze Obi-Young

[edit]

Hello, AgunnaKanayo,

Thanks for creating Otosirieze Obi-Young! I edit here too, under the username Rosguill and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:-

The provided references are largely not independent coverage, relying on reviews, author bios on sites hosting Obi-Young's work, and similar. Also, please see the notice below about handling conflicts of interest.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Rosguill}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, AgunnaKanayo. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Otosirieze Obi-Young, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the COI guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. I suspect a conflict of interest based both on your editing history focusing on subjects related to Obi-Young and Brittle Paper, as well as the fact that you have claimed a professional-quality photo of Obi-Young as your own work. signed, Rosguill talk 22:26, 20 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Osinachi (Visual Artist) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Osinachi (Visual Artist), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Creative Africa Exchange moved to draftspace

Hello, AgunnaKanayo. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Osinachi".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! —Nnadigoodluck🇳🇬 01:35, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, AgunnaKanayo, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Draft:Creative Africa Exchange, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Information icon Hello, I'm Nnadigoodluck. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Kiki Mordi have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. —Nnadigoodluck🇳🇬 09:26, 25 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You need to start responding to posts here - particularly this one

[edit]

You never responded to the questions about conflict of interest asked this month and some time ago. This is very concerning. I need to know your relationship to folio.ng which you appear to be spamming. Note that unhappily I may need to block you from editing if you don't respond. Doug Weller talk 15:28, 25 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the explanation but it would have been better here so that others understood that you don't have a conflict of interest and can see that you are responding on your talk page.
We have a noticeboard where you can ask if your sources meet WP:VERIFY and WP:RS, it's at WP:RSN. It's a good idea to try to use more African sources but they may need to be discussed first. Doug Weller talk 16:14, 29 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Potential conflict of interest: Doug Weller

[edit]

Hello Doug Weller. Sorry, I thought responding on your page would reflect my reply here. Thanks for the pages you shared where I can get verification. I hate to burden you but can I run it by you if I don't understand anything? Thanks.
