Score-writing

Thanks for your question on my talk page. I prepare music scores using Midisoft Studio 6. It's quite an old program, but the interface is very easy to use, and I'm very happy with the appearance of the scores and the control over details the program allows. I've tried two of the more modern (and quite costly) programs, but was not happy with them.
The interface is so easy to use, I can write a score more quickly with this program than with a pencil and piece of manuscript paper!
The one drawback is that the file format, .mmm, is not recognized. I can print directly, for the highest quality copy, but must scan the copy (creating a .jpg file) for use on Wikipedia.
The program was designed for Windows '95 and '98, but I believe it is no longer available (new). However, I've seen used disks of the program for sale on Ebay for $25. or less!
