Using Wikipedia to promote your business

Hi. Regarding the speedy deletes on your pages https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AgileBio and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LabCollector please seeWP:COI, WP:Promo, and WP:SPAM. From your user name, it's clear you work for AgileBio, so even if the company is considered significant enough you'd need to declare COI & likely be asked to refrain from editing it. Hi, sure thanks for the info. We are small company so we do not have agencies making the contents for us like the big companies. It is an initial post. As you can see from our competitors there are notes of being edited by internal staff too. You are welcome to add that if you wish. But delete our listing is clearly unfriendly to small companies. Mentioning what you do on your own profile is different than doing it in articles, and I had to change my user name because it was linked to a business when I created it. If other companies are doing it, they'll be cautioned as it's noted. However, regardless of all that you'll need to establish WP:Notability for any pages, and while the company might make it separate pages for products probably won't. If they merit inclusion it would likely be as a section on the company page. I'm not an admin, just a user, see what the reviewing admins say. The {{connected contributor}} template is not for the article itself, but the talk page. Assuming that you rename this account to represent an individual, and the article survives deletion, then you (and any other of your staff with their own accounts) will have to disclose your affiliation on your individual userpages and also use the {{connected contributor (paid)}} template on the talk page to disclose the nature of your employment with this business.
As was previously mentioned, the company will have to meet Wikipedia's notablity criteria for companies to be considered worthy of inclusion. I recommend that you read WP:ORGFAQ before making any further edits. --Drm310 (talk) 06:02, 9 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
