Moebius plane

Your edit summary when you started the new article titled Moebius plane suggests that the spelling of the name was the only reason for creating the new article. If that's the reason, the proper way to do it is by using the "move" button, thereby keeping the edit history intact and avoiding having two article on the same topic. Sorry for causing so much trouble. I just wrote my first articls on Wikipedia. Yes, I am the author of the lecture note on planar circle geometries. This lecture note is not published anywhere, I just post it on my home page to make it available to people interested in this subject. So, it is up to more experienced Wikipedians to make the best of my contributions or even shut them down. The idea to use oe instead of ö came from my experience with English keyboards. If oe has to be changed I would ask any one to do it. I do not yet know how to find and replace within the Wikipedia editor.

Despite all the brou-ha-ha, you have not in fact caused very much trouble, and thanks for your contributions! It is very helpful to know that the notes you were posting to Wikipedia are your own. I think the main point now is that it's silly to have two different articles on the same subject, and so the content you've created should be merged in a sensible way with the content of the existing article, especially to the extent that it includes content that can be cited to reliable sources. Since I was the first person to remove the content you added, let me also be the first person to invite you to integrate it with the existing article. One additional thing to be careful of: the LaTeX system in Wikipedia can be finicky, and some of the formulas you had posted were not compiling properly. I agree - Wikipedia needs expert contributors, and I hope you will not be discouraged. By all means contact one of us if you have questions. To make it easier to add special characters, I suggest adding the edit toolbar to the default Wikipedia editor. You can do that as follows: click on Preferences at the top of any page, select the Editing panel, select Show edit toolbar, and save the changes (button at the bottom). Next time you have an article, you will have a menu from which you can select Special characters, and that has a table of characters. Thanks for Your patience. The contents of the present (and old version) had been nearly fully integrated in my version. Just the remark on finite Möbius planes and block designs, which is a very special view on Möbius planes, had been missing. It would have been no problem to add it. I just forgot to add it. Sorry! I probably underestimated the meaning of copyright. If You compare my contribution on Möbius planes with my lecture note You will recognize that it is not just a copy. But if I can't use my own words and the typical language of mathematics I should stop my contributions on this subject. If the concerns that some people expressed about copyrights on material added to this article is because of material being added by the person who owns the copyrights, there should be a standard way within Wikipedia to indicate that it's there with permission of the copyright owner. If copyrighted material was added with permission of the copyright owner, who agreed to release it under whichever license Wikipedia now uses, there should be a regular procedure for making that fact known. Facts: I wrote it while I was professor at the TUD and put it on my homepage at the Department of Mathematics of TUD. It is not published any where. Dear RockMagnetist, meanwhile there is a permission for my lecture note (circlgeom.pdf) documented with [Ticket#2013031910004903]. The images (deleted by IneverCry) will be undeleted soon (see http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User_talk:INeverCry#deleted_files). How can the article "Laguerre plane", version from January 19, article "Minkowski plane" (vers. January 19), "Benz plane" (vers. January 16) be restored and the current article "Möbius plane" replaced by the version contained in my sandbox ? These versions contain the images. Ag2gaeh (talk) 14:57, 22 March 2013 (UTC)

Once the images are restored, you could just click on the View history tab and undo the more recent changes. For Möbius plane, though, I'd recommend a different approach. Your articles are written in a style that is appropriate for a monograph but not well suited to an encyclopedia. Wikipedia articles on math should conform to the Manual of Style, particularly the Manual of Style for mathematics. I also strongly recommend that you read Make technical articles understandable. The current version of Möbius plane is more accessible than your version, and it would be better if you merged your text with it. Be aware, too, that one of the five pillars of Wikipedia is that anyone can edit, use, modify, and distribute its content. The Möbius plane version of my sandbox I made more smooth with less verbatim and less mathematics. Please have a look. I would prefer my version, because a reader can easier recognize the commons and the differences of the three geometries (Möbius-, Laguerre-, Minkowski-plane). I'm a bit short of time right now, but I can give you a very quick impression. There are a lot of symbols that can be replaced by natural language - for example, the logical symbols. Also, the lemmas don't really need to be identified as such. And it would really help if you provided more context. About Steiner conic

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Steiner conic a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut-and-paste-move repair holding pen. Thank you. ovals

As you've probably noticed, I've been incrementally modifying your edits on the oval page and there are two things I'd like to bring to your attention. First, you might wonder why I have been changing notation. I have found, over the years, that English readers are not very fond of the Fraktur font and much prefer Greek or Latin versions. Many Germans in the US (but not all) have noticed this and have moved away from using Fraktur in their classes and notes. I personally have no problem with this font, but I felt that I should make the change in accordance with this viewpoint. My second point is a question. In several of these pages you have made the comment that in infinite planes ovals always exist. Surely there must be some restriction here. I know of no general construction that will always give an oval, and I don't see how you could prove something like that in a free plane. If I am missing something, please let me know. Thanks. Thank You for Your effort. Yes, I think, it is a good idea, to use more common notations. To ovoids in infinite spaces: It should be theorem 3.4 in a paper of HEISE ( W. Heise: Bericht über $\kappa$-affine Geometrien, Journ. of Geometry 1 (1971), S. 197–224, Satz 3.4.) and, so far I know, there is no further restriction. But it is not a constructive method.
