Test edits

[edit]

You should have a "preview" button next to "save". If you click on that, it will display the page with your edit integrated, but it won't save until you click on save. Or you can do tests in personal sandbox space, such as on this page, your userpage or a subpage such as User:Afafk/Test. But please be aware that "helpme" questions should actually be posted here, not in articles. Thanks. Bearcat (talk) 00:49, 2

Where's my personal sandbox?

{{helpme}} Afafk (talk) 00:52, 2 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Do you see in my earlier response where it says User:Afafk/Test? Just click on the red link and type/preview/save whatever you want. There isn't a pre-existing sandbox waiting for you; you create one as you need it. You can use that link, or create one at any other title you want by typing User:Afafk/whatever you want the title to be into the search box or as a link on here. (edit conflict)

You have to create one, in a user subpage. Go to User:Afafk/sandbox for example and just create the page with whatever you need to test.  fetchcomms 00:56, 2 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What about the question at the top?

Vandalizing

[edit]

It means to put inappropriate or harmful material into a page. As for Turkey, it is semi-protected; that means your account must have at least 10 edits and be four days old before it can edit it.  fetchcomms 01:01, 2 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You do, however, still have the option of posting a comment to Talk:Turkey if you want to suggest an edit. Bearcat (talk) 01:15, 2 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
