Nyron

[edit]

Nyron Nosworthy is a cult figure and there is loads of exaggeration, anything regarding him "saving a family..."rapper of the year"..."best black person" just delete Lewisbell 16:29, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Handing vandalism

[edit]

If you see obvious vandalism, the quickest way to reverse it out is to go to the article's history page. Do a compare versions between the current (vandalised) version and the previous (good) version. That will offer you an UNDO button. Click that to revert to last good version. But this only works for a 'one shot' vandalism. If the vandal has made multiple edits, it doesn't work. At that point you need to start reading the WP:vandalism pages for more detailed info (actually I advise that you do this anyway). Caution: don't use this if simply disagree with what is being said. Undoing good faith edits makes you the vandal instead. (Clearly not the case in the example that you asked me about!). --Concrete Cowboy 16:42, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article Marco Stier, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Erik Mykland

[edit]

Hi there AEDIASSE, VASCO from Portugal here,

Regarding Erik Mykland's article, i saw one of your edit summaries, and your corrections. Upon your suggestion, i proceeded to re-write some stuff, but i think that, if you do not count introduction (which can contain info that some people may find unuseful, like the mosquito thing), the piece is quite interesting and documented well enough.

I worked for a couple of weeks on the article, although the original texts are not mine, and tried to do a decent job, i think it's more or less OK. Why do you think it's very poor? We can arrange something better, with good old-fashioned teamwork :)

From Portugal, wishing a nice week,

The article Kenneth Kvalheim‎ has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Invite to the African Destubathon

[edit]

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:13, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, and if participating, good luck with the finale!
