Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like you to assume good faith while interacting with other editors, which you did not do on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Warren Pearson. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Longhair\talk 02:53, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Account

[edit]

I notice your sole activity here so far has been engaging in AFD discussions for articles that User:Castlemate has had some involvement in. Can I ask how a new user got interested in this very niche administrative topic, or whether you have previously had a different account here? Lankiveil (speak to me) 03:17, 1 December 2017 (UTC).[reply]

I have edited WP many years ago, but have not crossed paths with Castlemate before. I suppose if you thought I was a previous reincarnation of someone Castlemate has had a run-in before you could check pretty easily if you wanted to. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Adsfvdf54gbb (talkcontribs)
Can I ask how this particular situation came to your attention then, apparently piquing your interest enough to register a new account after many years? Can I also ask what username you previously edited under? Apologies for the questions, but I'm sure you can understand how the situation looks odd to an outside observer. Lankiveil (speak to me) 05:40, 1 December 2017 (UTC).[reply]
Along the lines of questions posed by Lankiveil, I have opened a sockpuppet investigation for two reasons, being your failure to name the original account used, and the apparent throwaway nature of the username used in this instance. Something just doesn't sit right with your editing patterns from where I sit. -- Longhair\talk 05:44, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Given the continued disruption from this account, and your failure to provide any satisfactory explanations, I have raised this matter at AN. Lankiveil (speak to me) 12:29, 16 December 2017 (UTC).[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Adsfvdf54gbb, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community. Longhair\talk 04:41, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Articles for deletion

[edit]

Please consider Wikipedia:Introduction to deletion process#Competence. I don't mean to say you're "incompetent" – that might be an ill-chosen section heading – but it says "articles, categories or templates should not be nominated in a routine fashion." You seem to be simply nominating everything that mentions Newington College, without checking for sources, or considering if the content could be improved to address your issue. Are you even looking at these articles? I'd be surprised if no admin has noticed, as a flood of AfDs produces a great deal more unproductive work. Jack N. Topic ban notification

[edit]

By the consensus of the Wikipedia community, you have been placed under a topic ban from the subjects of Newington College and its alumni, broadly construed. If you wish to appeal this ban, you may do so by following the procedured detailed at Wikipedia:Banning policy#Appeals of bans imposed by the community. - The Bushranger One ping only 08:19, 19 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Dr Mark Bagshaw

[edit]

I have given up on Wikipedia given the decisions it makes on deleting quality articles but this is one that truly deserves to be reversed. Maybe in death Wikipedia can see merit in Mark Bagshaw that it didn’t in life.
