Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Kargil War, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Shovon (talk) 17:04, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Sino-Indian War do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Shovon (talk) 17:13, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Kargil War. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Shovon (talk) 13:32, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Operation Meghdoot. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by some search engines, including Google. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Shovon (talk) 20:11, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to 2001–2002 India–Pakistan standoff. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Reliable Sources

[edit]

Hi Aditya, the incidents added by you are definitely notable, but the citations provided by you fail the Wikipedia guidelines for Reliable Sources. Please refer to WP:RS for a detailed description of what are acceptable sources. Generally, blog sites are considered non-reliable and can be considered as spam links. Of course, in case of the BLP articles, a blog published by the subject of the article can be treated as reliable source. I would like to request you to revert your changes or back these by adding suitable reliable sources. Thanks. Shovon (talk) 08:07, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
