[edit]Hello, I'm Érico. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to Chittagong Cantonment Public College—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thanks. Érico (talk) 13:23, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
Hey,Eeico .Why it didn't seem constructive? I'm a student of this institution ,I know far more better than you ,and all info given by me is fully correct and authentic . If you have any query please contact with the institution authority . Thanks. ~Adil Adil 1201 (talk) 15:26, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Adil 1201. One of the pillars of Wikipedia is that you may not add something to the encyclopedia, even if you know it to be true from personal experience, unless you can cite a source that is reliable and verifies the material. It isn't sufficient to say "contact so-and-so" to check it, the sources must be published, like a book, newspaper, or web page. Being true is good, but being verifiable is actually more important.
- So you may know that the school has changed the spelling of its name to "Chattogram Cantonment Public College", but you just have to live with Wikipedia being out-of-date until a source can be cited for the school's new spelling. You could have the school update the spelling throughout their website, http://ccpc.edu.bd/, then you would have a reliable published source you could cite. --Worldbruce (talk) 05:50, 24 June 2020 (UTC)
