Dalton's Peer review

[edit]

Lead section: The lead section was very informative overall and gave a great depiction of the process of Anthogenesis. However, regarding the last sentence about deep sea sediment deposition, I do wish there was a little extra information about how it ties in with the rest of the lead since it is mentioned often throughout the body of the article. Overall, the lead section was well constructed and thought out.

Structure: The body of the article read very well and was fluid throughout the reading. The separation of ideas among the article body was very nice and helped with reading comprehension. After looking back at the original article, I do see some ideas that were mentioned before in the previous article, but I'm not sure if the plan was to rewrite it completely or keep any of the existing thoughts from the original writing. Overall, the writing was great and very informative.

Balanced Coverage: the information that was covered with the process of Authigenesis was great and included many pieces of information that I considered to be missing from the original writing. Overall, the science behind the process was described very well, however, I did find it hard to try and interpret what the steps are in order within the process since it can take place in any location besides the shallow ocean waters.

Neutral Content: the content of the article was written in a neutral tone.

Reliable Sources: The sources used do seem to be reliable sources. DaltonPouliot (talk) 16:04, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
