[edit]Hello, I'm DMacks. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. We are only supposed to have at most one social-media link, or none if there is an actual website. DMacks (talk) 05:16, 15 March 2020 (UTC)

Draft:Ashwin Kumar Lakshmikanthan
[edit]Hello, Adapongaiya! Thanks for discussing your draft at my talk page. I just want to explain what the other two editors said, since they used a bunch of acronyms that you may not be familiar with. WP:GNG is the General Notability Guideline for whether a subject is eligible for an article here or not. The basic requirement is described here: the subject must have received significant coverage from multiple, reliable, independent, published sources. WP:SNG means special notability guidelines for a particular area or profession. WP:NACTOR is the special guideline for actors. In the case of an actor, the person deserves an article if they have had "significant roles in multiple notable films, television shows, stage performances, or other productions." If the subject (the person you are writing about) does not meet those requirements, then they will not have an article here, no matter how hard you work on the article or how much you improve it. Both of those other editors said that Ashwin does not meet these requirements and so he is not qualified for an article at this time. Maybe later, when he has had more or larger roles. One of those editors could read the Tamil references; both could read Hindi; they are trying to tell you, forget about an article about Ashwin for now. Keep it in draft form; edit it every few months so it stays as a live draft; but don't submit it for publication until he gets more and bigger roles, or gets a lot more coverage in the press. That is also my advice right now. In the meantime, I advise you to keep editing here, but about other subjects. You will learn a lot by making small edits or additions to subjects that interest you. -- MelanieN (talk) 17:59, 14 December 2020 (UTC)
- You might also read WP:TOOSOON, which describes his situation. It is early in his career; maybe later he will be notable enough for an article, but he isn't yet. So keep the draft alive and wait for him to become better known. -- MelanieN (talk) 18:06, 14 December 2020 (UTC)
MelanieN - Thank you so much for the detailed reply. I just saw your message. Last time, it was stated that he passed WP:ACTOR as he acted in 3 serials as a lead, But I admit they were less than 6 months old and a feature film as a lead. The page was deleted as he failed WP:GNG. Now he is doing a lead role in zee5 for a web series. Sure I shall make edits and keep the draft alive. In the meanwhile, I see an user by name User:Neutral Fan had moved the article to Mainspace and again to Draft, I'm not sure what this means, but I shall try to reach out to him and try to own back my article. Thanks Melanie for all your inputs, I shall keep editing till the page meets all the requirements. (Adapongaiya (talk) 01:36, 21 December 2020 (UTC))
