Spider
[edit]I'm afraid we can't just move pages, as you did at Spider (pulp fiction). There's a whole process you can find about at Wikipedia:Requested moves. I would, however, point you to discussions at Talk:Green Hornet and Lone Ranger in which consensuses closed by admin were against "The Green Hornet" and "The Lone Ranger" per Wikipedia naming conventions.--Tenebrae (talk) 00:41, 23 January 2015 (UTC)

The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets
[edit]Hi, I've reverted your addition of the page The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets to Category:Geek rock groups. Nothing on the page identifies them as geeks. Can you explain this?--Auric talk 20:47, 20 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Auric: They may or may not be geeks but their music is based on the works of Lovecraft and inherently geeky in terms of subject matter (in the same way as, for example, Harry and the Potters or Warp 11). The category is not for a (i) rock group, that are also (ii) geeks; it is for (i) a group, that (ii) performs in the genre of "geek rock". - AdamBMorgan (talk) 21:23, 20 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Ultraman
[edit]I saw your photographed picture of Ultraman in the Wikimedia Commons. If possible can I have the permission to post it in Ultraman (character) page? If yes, I would like you to do the job, since I'm not an expert on Wikimedia-Wikipedia relation.
Zero stylinx (talk) 11:21, 17 September 2016 (UTC)
- @Zero stylinx: No problem. I think this picture is the one you want. I have inserted it under the "Cultural Impact" heading because it seemed the best place. Please move it if this is wrong.
- NB: Everything on Wikimedia Commons already has permission to be posted on Wikipedia and elsewhere. The process for using an image on Commons is the same as using an image on Wikipedia; if the image cannot be found within English Wikipedia, Wikipedia will look for it on Wikimedia Commons instead and insert it from there. - AdamBMorgan (talk) 11:38, 19 September 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Greetings!
After a successful first iteration of the “Months of African Cinema” last year, we are happy to announce that it will be happening again this year, starting from October 1! There were also contributions to Wikidata and Wikimedia commons, which brought the total number of wikimedia pages created during the contest to over 1,000.

Nomination for deletion of Template:Channel Awesome
[edit]Template:Channel Awesome has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for discussion page. ミラP 15:44, 10 December 2019 (UTC)
The article John Kirowan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (fiction) requirement. WP:BEFORE did not reveal any significant English-language coverage on Gnews, Gbooks or Gscholar. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page here in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back through WP:ECHO or by leaving a note at User talk:Piotrus. Thank you
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
