[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages, as you did to Internet activism. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Please stop spamming Aidan Ricketts. Thanks. Delicious carbuncle (talk) 22:46, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
- I am writing this as the author of the entries being criticised. Hi i am not sure what part of my entries in internet activism you are concerned about. The text itself is genuine and constructive and i dont expect theres a problem with the nature of the text i added. I left existing information in place, added new perspectives and information where appropariate and referecned it. So I am assuming that what you are calling 'promotion' refers to the fact that the references contained hyperlinks to the author site where it is also possible to obtain the book rferred to. If this is not allowable id be happy to remove the hyperlinks, but leave the contributions to the article and the references in place. I had not thought that it would be problematic for readers to be able to click on a hyperlink that would allow them to access the sources referred to, Im sure many hyperlinks to articles and sites have this capability.
