Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from List of Turkish people by net worth into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 20:13, 28 March 2022 (UTC)

ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message
[edit]Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}

Disambiguation link notification for August 27
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Aziz, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Aziza. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 19:54, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
Kali
[edit]I have redirected Kali, Lice as its a quarter of the Lice town itself and not a rural neighborhood like for example Abalı, Lice. Semsûrî (talk) 12:07, 1 September 2024 (UTC)
Photos
[edit]Are the pictures you're swapping into biographical articles retouched by AI? Zeke, the Mad Horrorist (Speak quickly) (Follow my trail) 05:04, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
- I increase the resolution of old photos using AI or manually using Adobe Photoshop. Acratopotes (talk) 09:02, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
- I'm afraid the use of AI upscaling goes directly against MOS:IMAGES:
AI upscaling software should generally not be used to increase the resolution or quality of an old or low-resolution image. Original historical images should always be used in place of AI upscaled versions.
- In the case of your edit to the passport photo of Mohamed Atta, this removed skin blemishes and gave his lips a more classically beautiful Cupid's bow shape. This is not what the man looked like. Belbury (talk) 16:39, 27 September 2024 (UTC)
- if there's such a rule in wiki (unfortunately i did not know it), then my uploads--all of them--should be deleted. good work. Acratopotes (talk) 17:11, 27 September 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Robertsky. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on 2024 Lebanon pager explosions, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. On this edit Special:Diff/1246437599. – robertsky (talk) 02:43, 19 September 2024 (UTC)
Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to the topics of Kurds and Kurdistan, broadly construed, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

I think your edits in this article are misleading [1]
First of all, there are no Anatolia-only sources for ethnicity and language. It's really questionable these infobox parameters should exist.
Second of all, you made edits without citing any sources.
Third, you grouped 13 languages together including Turkish, Kurdish, etc. Turkish is clearly the most spoken language. It's also questionable to say ethnic Turks and ethnic Kurds are the majority, then list other minorities separately. Bogazicili (talk) 17:37, 9 October 2024 (UTC)
- if you think so, that's, if my writing style or my way of expression is bad, you can take it undo. i intended to improve the article. but like i said, i'm 100% okay with you taking it undo to solve the problem. Acratopotes (talk) 17:48, 9 October 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for your contributions. The parts you edited were already unsourced and problematic. It also seems that {{Infobox peninsulas}} have been discontinued, so it's good you changed the infobox template. Bogazicili (talk) 17:51, 9 October 2024 (UTC)

Dead or alive?
[edit]Hi there. You should not add |blp=yes
and |living=no
as you did on Talk:Tekin Kartal. These two parameters have the same purpose, so just use one. Thank you — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 08:01, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
- Oh, my bad. Thank you for fixing it! Acratopotes (talk) 10:17, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Cem Korkmaz
[edit]Hello Acratopotes,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Cem Korkmaz for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!
