Good job on the work you've done on the Positive Effects section in your sandbox. With the Rosetta Stone software, you may want to look to see if there are any peer-reviewed journal articles on the use of software applications in general as a positive effect of media consumption, and second language learning in general. Other paragraphs in this section the impact of T.V., advertising, social media, the internet, and video games (for example the use of educational games and websites to promote the positive effects of media consumption).

One thing to consider is how can software, such as Rosetta Stone, promote media consumption in a positive sense?

Earlier in the paragraph you wrote, you also discuss the perceptions of instructors on the benefits of media consumption and the benefits of media literacy. I do not see a source for these sentences; please make sure to cite the source(s) where you found this information. Also, there is already a page for Media Literacy. It may be better to link to this page and then discuss how people who use second language learning programs, such as Rosetta Stone, are promoting the positive effects of media consumption and the types of media literacy skills that they are using.

@Acimino: Hi! It looks like you've found some good sources to start with. The biggest suggestion I have is to focus on the tone and framing; it reads a bit like an argument for why media consumption is good, rather than a neutral and well-rounded summary of research findings. On a quick skim, it looks like there are generalizations that are not well supported by the sources; be sure to read them carefully and thoroughly, and summarize them without cherry-picking details.
