Ocn does not have fixed weekend drama programe called Saturday and Sunday

Ocn dramas are categorized by the type/brand given instead of broadcasting time slot, and I guess it is not a good way to replace OCN originals by OCN Saturday-Sunday drama. You can refer to the Korean version of the wikipedia page for the relevant drama works. Almeydaluciana (talk) 08:37, 5 August 2018 (UTC)

Hi Almeydaluciana. I believe Template:TV program order was created for broadcasting time slot of the networks, not to categorize the dramas. So it should be used for the chronology of the series. For Template:OCN Saturday-Sunday dramas, you can discuss on its talk page if it should be moved to "OCN original series". Thank you. Accireioj 08:53, 5 August 2018 (UTC)
Hi Accireioj partly agree on what you just said however it does not really work this way for OCN's dramas. But one thing is clear: even if they are categorized they can still be arranged in order of appearance as they appear one by one, sometimes new drama appears before the previous work ends, so every one can follow the track of how this brand of dramas come all they way from the beginning. I have created the template of "OCN original series" so no need to make a move. Besides OCN original, OCN have other brands like 'Romance' which broadcast on Mondays and Tuesdays, before that, OCN Pick have one drama work also being broadcasted on Monday and Tuesday. Almeydaluciana (talk) 09:06, 5 August 2018 (UTC)
Hi Almeydaluciana. Please read and follow template documentation of Template:TV program order. Otherwise, just remove the template. Thank you. Accireioj 09:43, 5 August 2018 (UTC)
Hi Accireioj thanks for the information and I have gone through it and I'm fine with the changes which makes more sense, the template guideline should be there for update and clarification and if does not fits the need, the one to be updated should be the template, not the contents. (talk)Almeydaluciana (talk) 09:54, 5 August 2018 (UTC)
@Almeydaluciana: Before seeing this discussion, I marked Template:OCN original series for speedy delete and undone some of the changes you have don since I thought it was just a duplicate. However, if is is true that OCN has a slot names such as "OCN original series" and "OCN Pick" we should go with them. Can you please contest the deletion and prove that such slots exist so that we can discuss whether to delete the other 2? ~~ CherryPie94 🍒🥧 (talk) 12:03, 5 August 2018 (UTC)
@Almeydaluciana: @Accireioj: Update: Withdrew the speedy deletion. Looks like the Korean Wikipedia page for OCN uses 3 slots OCN Original, OCN TV Movie, and OCN Pick. Template:OCN Monday-Tuesday Drama is for the OCN Pick. Maybe we should update List of programs broadcast by Orion Cinema Network and then request for Template:OCN Saturday-Sunday dramas to be deleted and changed the name of Template:OCN Monday-Tuesday Drama to OCN Pick. ~~ CherryPie94 🍒🥧 (talk) 12:17, 5 August 2018 (UTC)

Hi (CherryPie94) and Accireioj, I just want to reconfirm that OCN currently have 3 brands (or you can name them as series or collections) of dramas, which is called OCN orignal series, OCN Romance series and OCN Pick respectively. OCN original series usually aired on weekend but since this September they will be aired on Wednesday and Thursdays also. Both OCN pick and OCN Romance series appears on Monday and Tuesday. I am not sure if it is appropriate to put reference links here and if it is I am happy to do so. What you just deleted for the template of OCN originals is a replica of the same thing in Korean version and I would appreciate if you understand this is something very strange from a non-Korean speakers said to say NO to something originated from Korean. Thank you both for the contribution on this area. (talk) Almeydaluciana (talk) 13:37, 5 August 2018 (UTC)

@Almeydaluciana: OCN pick and OCN Romance series are the same. It was called OCN Pick when the first drama was airing but changed to OCN Romance series. However, OCN's Korean Wikipedia page still calls it OSN Pick. About removing the styling of the template, I did remove it since it doesn't follow rules. Korea Wikipedia and English Wikipedia rules are different. ~~ CherryPie94 🍒🥧 (talk) 15:50, 5 August 2018 (UTC)

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:20, 14 October 2018 (UTC)

The Original Barnstar
Hi: i really appreciate the work you do. I personally want to create a page for bang chan and know that their actually used to be one but the page no longer exists and is now a redirected page. Stray Kids' music videos also have no descriptions either which I feel there should be. I would be willing to contribute to the pages if they are created as I don't know how to make them on my own. kdrama edit

I have no idea how else to respond (I've never messaged on Wikipedia before), but the reason I keep correcting the 'It' is because it's bad English to start the synopsis of a plot with 'It'. The immediate question for a reader is, 'What is 'It' referring to exactly?' People often visit a Wikipedia and go straight to the synopsis, so it's better to begin the summary of a drama with something like 'This drama', rather than the vague 'It'. For an example of other people who clearly think like me, take the Wikipedia pages of the drama 'That Sun in the Sky' as an example. The page begins with 'This series'. Another example would be the drama 'The Smile in Your Eyes', as the synopsis begins 'The story is a mystery melodrama about...'.

On the romanization of 순간

Good day!

I would like to tell you that the Korean word 순간 ("moment") should be romanized as sun-gan, based fron the rules stated in the Revised Romanization of Korean. The hyphen is necessary for romanizing adjacent final ㄴ and initial ㄱ since directly using -ng-, as in sungan, may confuse the reader and misinterpret the word as 숭안 (which, if romanized, is actually sungan). The hyphen is thus a form of disambiguation between sun-gan 순간 and sungan 숭안, and in other similar cases, like 준기 jun-gi and 중이 jungi.

That's all. Thank you!

Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks!

Hello,

Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.

I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!

From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.

If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.

Thank you!

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Kim Woo-jin (singer) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. JohnThorne (talk) 00:09, 4 March 2020 (UTC)
