Speedy deletion of AccesStream
[edit]A tag has been placed on AccesStream, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. triwbe (talk) 23:11, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
Blocked
[edit]This kind of activity is considered spamming and is forbidden by Wikipedia policies. In addition, the use of a username like yours violates our username policy.
You may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below or emailing the administrator who blocked you.
Your reason should include your response to this issue and a new username you wish to adopt that does not violate our username policy (specifically, understand that accounts are for individuals, not companies or groups, and that your username should reflect this). Usernames that have already been taken are listed here.–Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 01:04, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

Request reason:
I am new to Wikipedia and most likely did not clearly understand the rules, although i read them. It was not my intent to self promote the company, but rather to provide and explanation of its open source project. Given my lack of experience with Wikipedia, I decided the best course of action would be to replicate the format and intent of another entry of another open source company. The entry I chose was Pentaho, and I removed or changed any non-applicable information and/or sections. If AccesStream is deleted due to self promotion, it is not clear to me as to why the Pentaho entry remains. I am open to revise the entry if you can give me some guidance.
Decline reason:

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
See WP:CORP or our general notability guidelines. As for your account, we'd like to know if you are interested in editing anything other than articles related to AccesStream. Daniel Case (talk) 21:49, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
